  • Saw the crossbar challenge, great she is a Charlton fan, good for her. Sadly that is overshadowed by the fact that she is taking part in the worst thing to happen to British television ever. There is nothing ( possibly other than Jeremy Kyle ) that sums up all that is wrong with Britain today. I have a couple of friends who watch, and it breaks my heart. It is for morons. If I offend anyone, tough. Take a long hard look at yourself.

Lighten up mate, its a show aimed at 17 year old kids and people who have no idea about music. Its easy viewing, I dont mind watching it, I know how cheap it is and that it its just a cash cow for ITV and Cowell, I also understand that watching it doesn't make me a moron!
  • There are many people who think that following a football team passionately and posting on it's fan's message board is moronic but we all do it.
  • The show is complete chuff & karaoke on tv but each to there own.

My missus used to watch it. So I made her go upstairs while i jumped on the xbox or watched a film. Now she has realised what a pile of pony it is and joins me downstairs.

I wish she started liking it again to be honest

    Ha ha
  • Is she hot?

Believe she is a rug muncher!

    I don't think you're her type.
  • I dont usually watch it, but there are six acts this year that could have won previous shows. As for 'only people that know nothing about music watch it' that must be an assumption as out of eight million viewers there must some be musicians watching.
  • Won't be voting for Jade as there are better singers.

We have another thing in common then ;)

Judging people for what they like to watch on tele on a Saturday (which happens to be one of the most popular tv shows in the last 10 years). Get a life.
  • Hmm yes. You'd need to come home and take a look around you if you think X Factor is what's wrong with Britain. There's a lot worse things.

How can you be broken hearted about peoples choice of viewing.

The kids love it and its family viewing. Let them that's what I say. I'd rather children watch that then Eastenders which I don't think is.
  • Well said Norfolk Addick, absolutely spot on! Team Jade (the Charlton fan) to win.
  • Sorry perry

Nothing I like more than my little girl grabbing her zing zillas microphone and dancing and singing her little butt off to every song on there

She sounds better than Rylan but that ain't hard

X factor for those stuck in doors on a sat and Sunday night with the bin lids and bath time is a real good 2 hrs (Nearly ) of family cheese and fun

Now I wouldn't stay in to watch it , If there was the opening of a jar of jam that we were invited to then I would go

But the worst thing about the uk at the moment is the lack of dough working families have to spend on going out and child care

And therefore we are brainwashed into giving Simon Cowell money
  • This is not a talent programme my kids love it personally its a pc programme 4 all the total.knobs in the world wot a total pile of shite
  • in 2007 i got to boot camp, sadly nerves got to me and i never made judges homes
  • I did try to tell you pet shop boys go west was a terrible song choice
  • sang a taylor swift song
  • Your kids love X Factor but it's a programme for 'total knob heads in the world' hmm, well thought out Boogica...
  • Haha I've been suckered in over the last couple of years. Not my thing but as a trade off I'll sit and watch it with my Doris and she doesn't create when I spend saturday night and Sunday watching sport.

    Is it entertaining? Probably

    Is it music? Probably not

Is it aimed at working class families to squeeze some dough? More than likely

Does anyone hold a knife to your throat to make you watch it? I hope not

I hope jade wins because she is a charlton fan and local, I can't say I'll spend any money pushing her cause though but good luck to anyone who does

  • I hope this won't break anyones heart but I watch it and I saw the crossbar challenge thing . She's CAFC , thats good enough for me
  • Lobotomy TV and I am not being derogatory to those who watch and enjoy it on here. There is plenty of other output just like it. No brain required, just sit back and enjoy it, without any guilt. Have done myself many at times. Scratch my head in bewilderment at some of the public votes but then when you are out and about amazed at some of the turnips walking around out there, it all makes sense.
  • I'd vote for her if I a) knew who she was, b) watched X Factor and c) gave a shit.

Why do they turn off the pitch correcter off for the Sunday show?
  • Used to go mad about it indoors but have given up - just sit on my own reading or watching otehr stuff that doesnt make me feel dirty. It is opium for the people, fucking dross, as is all the rest of it - the essex thing, chelsea thing, Hello, take me out. All lowest common denominator crap for people with no brain.

My wife says its harmless - is it bollocks - it is all that is wrong in the world. Empty headed fuckwits convincing young children that they are worth something. My girls actually think these orange pieces of shit are something to be.

    The world has embraced mediocrity!
  • An icon should be some poor sod who has worked for 40 years paid all his tax and bills on time and grafted for where he/she is.

I think it expolits people but will always use the defence that people who make it - wouldn't if it wasn't for the show. Not so sure about that- if they have talent then they would still have a chance. But the show isn't about talent, it is about making money for a slimey worm of a man. He didn't invent talent shows and all the bits he has added to the format are the unpaletable ones.

Shouldn't the question be why do they have it on, on the Saturday?
