The ref throwing that ball around is one of the funniest things I've seen I'm ages
not that long ago i remember england playing somewhere where the groundsman came on to clear surface water in the penalty area with a dust pan and brush.
Can someone remind me, was it Notts County or West Brom that we played in the FA cup in the late 80s, when it absolutely pelted it down? From where we stood it looked like the ball floated over the line on a puddle for their goal.

We got a pen which Colin Walsh took but the ball barely made it to the goal line and was easily saved...
West brom don goodman goal I think, I was there, it featured on MOTD opening titles for years, I also remember the open air bogs in the away end! A close game and we hit the post late on, sure I went with North Stand Steve?
My three main memories of that game are 1) the rain 2) that bloody puddle 3) my mum joining in with the "the referee's a wanker" chants, which was a first for her.

Hmmm.........
And a grass...
Don't think Fifa allows indoor games? Assume the roof is for other events?
It would be totally illogical to play this captain.....................
