What colour were his stripes. I'll guess at black and white as he gallops like a Zebra

Azeez will surely get his chance later this season, maybe after a loan spell at a League 2 club. Could be big for us in a year or two.

do the U21 matches get filmed? and are they ever put on player?

Azeez has got to be starting to knock on powell's door. Shame there's a group of champ/lower prem level strikers in front of him.

Just got back from the U21s game.A good display all round from the lads, but pride of place goes to Azeez, who terrorised them with his pace.He also finished very well, something that he has not always done.Kermy got clattered early on from their big centre half Aaron Pierre, which he had a good moan about. He also had a serious moan when Dervite was clattered by the same player.A good workout for Yann and he also poked home a goal.He went off after 60 minutes.Jordan Cousins played in front of the back four and broke up play and passed it well.Bover and Jordan were also very industrious and used the ball well.Jordan produced a tidy finish from a great cross from the impressive Fox.Had a word with Steve Coppell who was scouting, also Gareth Ainsworth was there but not sure who he was looking at.We were just too good for Brentford as were the U18s with our 9-0 win. These are good days for our youngsters and I encourage everybody to go to the training ground and see for yourself.

We've just beaten the top of the table team 5-0 to go top ourselves.

    Great effort.

5-1 Oggy, but it was an excellent display,we completely outplayed them especially in the first half.We are in a good place at the moment with the calibre of players coming through.I have also have watched a bit of the U16s and the production line is showing no signs of stopping.Players to look out for in the short and long term.Azeez,Sho Silva,Poyet,Ajayi,Fox,Muldoon,Holmes-Dennis,Pigott,Gerrard Gomez. As well as Harriott,Osborne.

Thanks for the report, Dick. Always interesting.

Such a shame we're not playing in the top division. Palace pulled a fast one as they aren't a Cat 1 academy either but are playing with the big boys. They are bottom of their league though.

No promotion in this league so we have to pass our audit for the Cat 1 academy to go up.

It is scheduled for Feb 2013 but Paul Hart is only going to let the audit go ahead if he is sure we are going to get the score needed to be Cat 1.

If you go for Cat 1 and fail you can't re-apply for three years so would be stuck at Cat 2 level. This wouldn't just be for the league but more importantly for recruitment.

From what he was saying a few months back there is still some work to be done to get us ready. Fingers crossed.

Delighted that Kerm's back and hope we give him time & build him up steadily for a role on Dec 1st. Would love to see Azeez getting some more involvement with the first team. The youth teams are really looking impressive at the moment. Hopefully bodes well if even a couple can step up :)

Not much to add to what Dick has said but:-

Worry about Dervite at CB, he got turned very easily a couple of times by their no 9 and seemed to get outmuscled which was strange as he was the bigger of the two. Think Taylor is ahead of him, but like him in centre mid.

Yann looked fit and up for the game, unlucky with one shot which hit the underside of the bar.

Could have matched the u18 score as Brentford were rubbish. Saw Danny Haynes there and also Michael Smith - will he be playing against Welling this Saturday in the FA Trophy?

Thanks Henry and Oggy for your comments,in my opinion it is essential to be category 1.Not only because we need to pit ourselves against the better players of Arsenal,Chelsea etc but also because of the ability it gives us to attract the better players to our Academy. The implementation of the Premier League's Elite player Performance Plan has meant that Charlton's running costs have increased by £500,000
    (Total cost £1.4 M).

Watching both teams today brought it home to me how far our youngsters are ahead of the Brentfords of this world, that is no disrespect to Brentford. All the coaches in all the age group ranges deserve big congratulations for how they are teaching the boys. Also the recruitment of players is top class.

Heard a lot about Ade Azeez. Are we talking quicker than Danny Haynes?!
