They Valley pub was very busy that day. At the time it was a great football pub. Maddness,The Jam and The Clash blaring out of the jukebox. Games of killer darts and pool. Great pub grub after aswell.

When we all used sing if your going (Barnsley) clap your hands. Everyone did and they would al be at Barnsley the next week. Talking of Barnsley away who remembers ( its freezing cold and we hate Barnsley)
Im sure we done the conga that day too.

Great day out. Bloody freezing but the conga kept us warm for a bit. Clem and I started the afternoon in some out of the way miner's club after we'd gone on a explore. Decent pint but didn't prepare us for how cold it was. Only a couple of hundred of us on the end terrace. Think we lost as well. Blondes were there that day too I think.
  • Sadsack pmsfl

    Alright errol hows tricks pal
  • I dreed to think what my nickname was. Prob big mouth little shit.
  • If you were lucky you won the football scratch card on the coach and got a few xtra quid

I remember winning 80 quid on the fruit machine in the catholic club in woolwich before brissle city away and thinking tomorrow will be mental

    It didnt let me down

I remember my mate Chris found a wallet under his seat on the train to Southend. There were a fair few notes in and it ended up paying for the whole day for us.

Barnsley trips were always good. There was a big leisure centre with aquazooms right by the ground. One year we got three cars up there for about 10am and about 12 of us had a swim before the bar opened ! The bar in the leisure centre had the most gougeous blonde who couldn't say Charlton properly in a thick Yorkshire accent

  • Those bloody football cards always aberdeen!

Her name was Rachel i gave her a badge but would like to give her some thing else. Mark D gave the barman some stick and we had her singing when i was a teny little boy.

Last time I saw Lester (many moons ago) he told me he was off to Chelsea cos 'there was more chance of a row'. Eee, he was a one.
  • I still see Alan (armed robber) and his old man John as the both play for Charlton in the london superleague in darts . Remember sheff utd away in the cup puncture on coach getting up there and only the main stand still open so all going in just as bumstead pulled one back to 3-1 going mad at the goal and then it all going off NLA's milwall m8 who had come up with us hiding under an advertising hording. on the the pitch and into the away end lol
