    Move on.
  • i recall danny green's post signing interview on cafc player and i was struck, a) he didn't look/sound like a team spirit player, b) he said he had "unfinished business" at charlton, c) when asked as to what we should expect from him, he said, i can beat a man, sling in dangerous crosses and score the odd goal. i love the new signing interviews - bikey was particularly excited to be joining us...errr, where am i, why am i here...? ;>)

Crazy that he's only 26 years old and has dropped back down the Divisions again... He's League One Standard yet cant seem to stay at that level

It's all to do with location, money and the clubs ambition.

Had one good season there fo Daggers, was indifferent for us in a title winning side and was much the same for MK Dons last year too in another successful team. True he's won two promotions but hardly been a key got in either team. Reckon he is more of a League 2 to 1 standard than an establish League 1 player myself. Maybe John Still can get the best out of him again like he did at Daggers - what's Paul Benson up to these days?

Ah bugger. I was looking forward to seeing how the Church and Green dream team would work out.

I liked Green. Shame he never kicked on.
  • And there was I imagining a radio commentary from MK Dons that went "Green beats three Charlton defenders, crosses to Church whose volley rifles into the net to give MK Dons a first minute lead"

I have his 'poppy shirt' from the Halifax FA Cup game, I'll always remember Green if only for that.

I always thought he had the potential, shame it never worked out as I always think football is more exciting with wingers.

There was a glorious moment early in our promotion season away at MK Dons when Green came on and with his first contribution sold an outrageous dummy and crossed in the run right on Yann's head for our equaliser. Right in front of me. I thought I was going to be a new dawn. Happy memory though.

Danny Green's problem isn't the level of play he is capable of reaching - it is one of producing his best level consistently even over a full 90 minutes. His lowest level isn't even good enough for League 2.

he's just tweeted that he's applied for the next series of the Apprentice and included the reply confirming his application has been rec'd

isn't he playing for Chelmsford City now?

I bet his house is better than Alan Sugar's.

Interesting, I wonder if Scott Wagstaff will also apply so we can continue the Green/Wagstaff debate...

Need to get Waggy to apply, be good to get another Waggy v Green debate going again.

Anyone know if Waggy is applying?
  • He'll initially look the part, show some promise, technical ability but fade quickly, fail to deliver. By week 2 it will be:
    Siralan: "You're a t-shirt selling ponse, you've brought nothing, you're fired!"

Come on Arry, you've got to be quicker than that to get some LOLs!

Bound to get in. Not necessarily on merit but because a footballer on that show will likely bring an extra talking point.

Dickson's doing well, 17 goals in 2 starts.
