Only a few hours to go......................what times kick-off? Anyone going?0
-
10.30 and yes, about 25,0000
-
Hopefully the rain will stay away!0
-
England win toss & bowl/field.0
-
Thank god Cookie won the toss0
-
COME ON ENGLAND!!!0
-
I'm not so sure about Bresnan replacing Finn, but a good toss to win.
If need to get Dhawan and/or Sharma early and get stuck into the Indian's middle order.0 -
I still love the way Cricket is so polite:
"England won the toss and asked India to bat first".
What happens if they say No ?

I assume if the say no they forfeit their innings and set England a target of 1 to win0
-
Rain has stopped India batting anyway.0
-
Shame - looks like its settled as well which is bad news.Miserableoldgit said:Rain has stopped India batting anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if its rained off. No reserve day because England are playing new Zealand in a t20 on Tuesday apparently!0
-
It looks like they'll play today, but only 24 overs! Seems bizarre that a (fairly) important final can be played under such different rules. Imagine the men's final at Wimbledon being reduced to the best of 3 sets because of rain, on the final day of the Open Golf being played over 12 holes instead of 18...
With just 24 overs, England can't afford to start slowly like they usually do, as there won't be the overs to build up slowly, so I'd make India strong favourites.0 -
Stating on Sky Sports that they're looking at a 3.45 start.0
-
I have to say I'm not so confident now. The uncertainty has been taken away & India know, they have to slog straight away. Anyone's game, although I fear the weather may be the winner.Covered End said:

India to win, I reckon, IPL experience to win through. Hope I'm wrong!!0
-
I agree, their team much more suited to T200
-
Fucks sake. Sat here all day waiting for it, now the poxy satellite signal has gone down - only on sky sports bloody one.0
-
I never expected to win this thing anyway. Our bowlers are s**t. Against a decent team we can't take wickets !!0
-
Terrible fielding, really don't rate Bresnan much, think Finn is a much better bowler.0
-
yeah good one, I assume you don't watch much cricket?Rudders22 said:I never expected to win this thing anyway. Our bowlers are s**t. Against a decent team we can't take wickets !!

what I meant that is that apart from Broad and Anderson0
-
I will rephrase that... I have been disappointed by a lot of bowlers.... particularly players such as Bresnan and ok.0
-
heard of Swann and Finn? Realise they are not playing but I gathered your statement was a general one.Rudders22 said:what I meant that is that apart from Broad and Anderson
