if we can't get a prem team then someone like morcambe at home will do
  • Options
A small local club like brentford or millwall away.

Man U or Arsenal away .. is that on the cards ?

We cant face one of the big boys until the 3rd Round because of their European commitments...

I dont know how many rounds it lasts for yet the 1st / 2nd rounds are usually North / South regionalised so we wouldnt be able to get Man Utd till the later rounds
    I didn't know that .. thanks

Would be happy with an Accrington or Morecambe at home. I really enjoyed last night and would love to see us get the chance to keep all squad players involved in these matches at this stage of the competition.

We can get a prem team, just not one involved in European competition...

    We can't
    We can.

No doubt we will get a crap tie. I reckon Huddersfield away.

Would prefer Leyton Orient away though.

Only 1st round as Gillingham played Middlesbro last year in 2nd round.

The second round is seeded. 7 teams get a bye then the top 25 teams left in the cup on last seasons league positions go into 1 pot and the lower ranked 25 teams go into the other pot. We having finished 9th last season will go in as a seeded team.

Looking at last years 2nd round fixtures i believe this to be true. Nobody from the Prem played each other.

I really don't get why anyone would want to play Crystal Palace, especially as we'd lose.

Burton at home will do. Then Arsenal away in 3rd round.

http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/20130807-unseededcaponecupdraw-975981.aspx ...reading from this charlton cant play : Everton, Liverpool, West Brom, West Ham United, Norwich City, Fulham, Stoke City, Southampton, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Reading, QPR, Cardiff City, Hull City, Watford, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Bolton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Burnley or Birmingham City.

One of Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers or Huddersfield Town (prioritised in that order) will also be seeded, dependent on tonight's results.

    From 2012

The draw for the second round took place on 15 August 2012, after all the matches for the first round had been completed. The second round draw included the 35 winners from the first round plus the Premier League clubs that are not competing in European competitions: the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The second round draw also included the top two highest ranked teams from last season not currently in the Premier League, these being Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.

    lol what???

No you cant. Charlton can only draw a team that finish below 12th in the Champ last season, as we are seeded.

''charlton cant play : Everton, Liverpool, West Brom, West Ham United, Norwich City, Fulham, Stoke City, Southampton, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Reading, QPR, Cardiff City, Hull City, Watford, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Bolton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Burnley or Birmingham City.

One of Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers or Huddersfield Town (prioritised in that order) will also be seeded, dependent on tonight's results.''

Who'd ever have thought in the second week of August we would be able to legitimately amuse ourselves in this way? Well done Chris Powell and keep it up!

One of the big Premiership clubs like Crystal Palace.

Maybe our plucky little team could perform a giant killing.

Are you purposely trying to stress that Palace are a 'big' club?

Premier League clubs are seeded, so are we, therefore we can't meet a Premier League club.
