There is only one future for proper pubs, save the odd exception that we all know (like the ones mentioned above and other regular ones on here) and that is the Micropub. There will be 30 in Kent by the end of this year and soon more and more in London.
I remember meeting a couple of me East London pals a few year back in The Prospect Of Whitby over Wapping way, before cabbing it to Browns of Shoreditch, and thinking to meself that this is a proper proper boozer. Other than that The Peacock, Gravesend cause its me mates pub and it's a melting pot of good people.
Free pint for me tonight Steve....................... The Bull, Shootershill. The Landlords a lovely fella and a Charlton boy and the dogs are welcome.
Three Blackbirds in Blackfen is £1.90 @ pint when there's a live game on Sky, provided you have one of their loyalty cards (which only cost a quid - valid all season)
At the end of the day, as long as they don't sell real ale and have fat bearded blokes sat at the end of the bar, giving me funny looks for shouting up a pint of Stella, they're good boozers in my book

The Red Lion in Bromley also falls under this remit.
Could not find a bad juicer in the New Forest last weekend if we tried. All brilliant.
Put some effort in, you'll get the customers.
