    Valley.

Hamer 6 - usual mixed fare
Morrison 6 - needed leadership from him
devite 6.5 - probably the better of our centre halves
Wood 6 - tell me what the point is of the keeper rolling it out to you if you're just gonna lump it?
    Wilson 6 - looked pedestrian
Wiggins 7 - good first half but we lost him a bit in the formation changes
Pritchard 5 - at fault for the goal and iffy passing throughout, below par
Stephens 5 - this is his usual performance, the decent ones flatter to deceive. Hid.
Jackson 7 - probably our best player, didn't stop running - but Pigott in particular needed more talking from him
Church 6.5 - ran his socks off, but fluffed his lines when it mattered.
Pigott 5 - first league start was it? Millwall, on TV - didn't stand a chance. Would give him a 4 but he never hid, despite having a mare.
Stewart 6.5 - lively, looked the only person likely to do something to change the game

Jackson was our best player by a mile, the only one that really tried even if to no avail. This is my opinion from wathing on tv.

Hamer 5.5 poor distribution, lacks confidence
    Morrison 6
    devite 6
    Wood 6
Wilson 6 tried hard but no end product
    Wiggins 6 few good crosses
Pritchard 4 worst performance I've seen from him
Stephens 5 neat touches, missed a chance at the beginning of the 2nd half. Too lightweight
    Jackson 6.5 battled hard
Church 4.5 missed a good chance when a square ball was the better option
    Pigott 4 nightmare
    Stewart 6.5 made a difference

    Wood 6
    Wilson 5.5
Wiggins 6 Pretty much the player creating anything until the subs came on.
Pritchard 3 Am a fan, and he has proved he's worth at this level, but that's the worst I've seen him play.
Stephens 5.5 Cousins in for him please. Not suited to us, we need a different type of player.
    Jackson 6 Ok.
Church 5.5 Ok at times but capable of more than that.
Pigott 4 Not ready to be starting.
Stewart 6 Give him a start, need more pace and attacking threats in the team.

    VALLEY

    Hamer - 5 - poor distribution
Morrison - 6.5 - played well out of defence in 352. Played with spirit.
    devite - 6
    Wood - 6
    Wilson 5 - poor crossing
    Wiggins 5 - poor crossing
Pritchard 4 - loses mark for Nicky Bailey like error that led to goal
Stephens 3.5 - very disappointing player. Woeful sideways and backward passing, OK front 2 didn't offer much but no excuse. What is he in the team for ? Cousins in.
    Jackson 5.5 - tried
Church 3.5 - bottled only chance, support striker only, runs around for no particular purpose. Achieved nothing.
Pigott 3.5 - out of depth, should not have started in 352 that does not include KMG (or proper main striker). Should never have started. Should have been subbed at half time.
Stewart 6 - looked promising but received little service

Harriott n/a - poor cross at end when could have run into penalty area.
Sordell n/a - one good through ball. Should have started against Millwall, who were attempting to wind him up with surreal chant. Then we can work out if he is any good or really wants to be at the club or can return to Bolton.

Powell - 352 without a decent striker does not work. Formation should fit players available to formation. 442 would have been better with players available (easy to say with hindsight). Formation should have changed at half time.

Owners - leaving the club with threadbare squad with no quality back up for main players and only one proper striker will prove to be a disaster (for them, club and fans) that will relegate us. That is the situation whoever is the manager.

Crowd - were good considering what was being served up.

Hamer -5.5: a few poor kicks but not much else to do
    Morrison - 7: a determined performance
    devite -6 - ok
    Wood - 6 - solid enough.
    Wilson - 6 - ditto
Wiggins - 5.5: started the game reasonably well but tailed off
Pritchard - 5: conceded possession far too easily and generally muscled out of it by Bailey and Trotter. An off day ( in stark contrast to the Leicester and Watford games ) but at least he provides some mobility in an otherwise static midfield. We need Cousins in there to share the load and to provide some athleticism and movement
Stephens - 5: his dwardling on the ball and lack of incisive passing played right into Millwall's hands. A nice first touch at the start of the second half but then blasted the ball over without testing the keeper
Jackson - 5: his lack of pace and mobility were exposed today
Church - 5.5: good movement and lots of running but flatters to deceive in terms of end product and a poor effort when played through by Sordell
Pigott - 4: Joe was out of his depth today but he will hopefully come good for us. A perfectly reasonable decision to play him given Sordell's apparent ineptitude against Huddersfield
Stewart - 7: looked tricky, direct and dangerous

Had a long standing commitment today so recorded it on TV. At least I was able to fast forward through parts of that disgraceful pile of shit of a performance. I salute and sympathise with all those who had to suffer it at the Valley.
