Southend's game called off at 12:20. You have to feel for the Truro fans who travelled up today.
Yeah, they’ve got to go back to Truro

I went to uni down there and am surprised there's even the local interest there to sustain a National League side. Felt like Rugby Union was the main sport down there and it never felt like a football hotbed.

Lovely part of the country, a massive respect to the Truro fans going to the rearranged game.

Pat Casey did very little yesterday, he couldn't get much right. Until he popped up with two excellent finishes. The lad is a bona fide goalscorer.
This has always been the kind of enigmatic mystery for me when it comes to Patrick Casey.
I say everything with a mind to him being a very young player.
However I have watched him play a lot of times, and sometimes wondered what all the fuss is about. Then I contemplate the huge number of goals he scores (in the main against his peers) and watch him play a bit meh, and then bosh he scores a goal, often a very good goal. Like a ghost suddenly coming to life or something.
In no way am I making a comparison between them as players, but back in the day Tottenham fans would say about Jimmy Greaves that he doesn't do anything...except score goals.
Derek Hales didn’t do much apart from score, unless someone upset him, and then he’d put in a tackle that might have resembled GBH.

Dulwich Hamlet v Whitehawk called off at 2.55, even though ref had passed the pitch at 2pm (thankfully I didn’t go!).
  • Plenty of disgruntled Torquay fans too with their game at Dover being called off at noon

Given their location, and size of home support, their away following seems to be very decent.  They'll have had a few hundred go to that.
A quick getaway I suppose and not have to experience Dover in the dark is a blessing.

Wouldn’t worry too much. Half of them wouldn’t have noticed.

Why does Alex Horne love a non-league football club?

    Had a double-bill yesterday;

Went to Hendon v Raynes Park - was 3-4 at half-time! Finished 4-4....absolutely brilliant entertainment.

    Then onto Charlton v Chelsea.

    A day of goals.

Dartford's game at Cheshunt tomorrow off, due to the rain. I imagine quite a few non league games, unless played on 3g pitches, will be at risk.
  • Yeah Welling is off too...

Went to Potters Bar this afternoon to see Dartford lose to the bottom of the table side.

Not good enough,  and a questionable line-up

Went to Welling. 0.0  . That's it! (oh and St Albans missed a penalty, I was impressed with Wings keeper)

Two draws in a few days has damaged Torquays chances, long way to go yet though. C'mon you Gulls.

Haven't been to a match but I am enjoying watching angry Sligo Rovers fans stomping home from my hotel room after they just lost 4-0 at home to Bohemians

(I tried to get my gf to go to the game as a Valentine's Night treat but she strangely declined)

There must be at least 2 fans there if any at all.
  • Why are they angry and stomping from your hotel room? What did you tell them and what did you fail to deliver??

Cray W v Chatham was enjoyable. Got a great set up over Cray and i like it over there. Chatham do like an expensive striker, last season I saw Freddie Sears scoring over Flamingo, this year is Nile Ranger.

Chatham were a massive dark arts team and the game got increasingly tetchy the longer it went on. Can see Nathan Jones liking their keeper as THREE times he did the sit down non-injury for a team talk. Was funny seeing a frustrated ref widening his arms to the crowd as if to say what can I do about it?

What he could do was get pissed off with all their time wasting, shirt pulling etc and just start giving stuff to Cray, including a late penalty to leave an even match all square.

Chatham had a teenage youth mob of about 15 of them walking round the ground trying to cause trouble on multiple times. Was funny, but all a bit tragic to watch tbh. Think this is on the rise at numerous Kent clubs and not sure why the clubs they attach to don’t just f*** them off early doors.

Went to ebbsfleet v Totton yesterday. 4 nil to fleet, could quite easily doubled that. If they hadn't conceded injury time equalisers in their previous 3 games would be joint top.
