  • Two draws in a few days has damaged Torquays chances, long way to go yet though. C'mon you Gulls.
Hate to break it to you but Chippenham beat the Gulls 1 0 in the week. A dreadful loss that could haunt them.

I'll be at Plainmoor on Easter Monday when I am down that way on holiday (Brixham.)  I have always looked out for Torquay and would love them back in the league one day. First stop the National League.

Sorry, you are right about the 1-0 defeat. Not been to Plainmoor for years, hope you see a win.

Chatham had a teenage youth mob of about 15 of them walking round the ground trying to cause trouble on multiple times. Was funny, but all a bit tragic to watch tbh. Think this is on the rise at numerous Kent clubs and not sure why the clubs they attach to don’t just f*** them off early doors.
It's a real problem in non league football. When Chatham hosted Dartford in December, unaccompanied under 16s from Dartford were banned completely. A big crowd of them were refused entry.

There were a group of annoying youths from Dartford at Potters Bar yesterday. They were then chanting at Potters Bar station after the game, as if Dartford had won - the real Dartford supporters all left feeling hacked off and annoyed with the manager!

Pat Casey did very little yesterday, he couldn't get much right. Until he popped up with two excellent finishes. The lad is a bona fide goalscorer.

Is he definately out injured for the rest of the season?

Tommy Widdrington has gone at Eastbourne Borough. Look destined for the Isthmian Prem now after losing at Chesham last night.

Cheers Dan, we found out today we are playing Orient at Brisbane Road next Tuesday evening in the London Senior. Watched Charlton last night on tv, yet another painful watch.

First Charlton game this season I’m either not going to be at or watch online. Going Dartford v Cray W and going to try and not look at phone until after the game. Haven’t done that for decades!

Just seen this. What the hell is that all about? The supporters organised coach was nicer so the players got it back from Eastbourne?

From what I can figure out , their normal coach had an issue so the coach company sent a smaller coach for the players/staff than usual , Supporters coach was arranged independently and had a much bigger coach.

They lose 4-2 at Eastbourne and then the players turf the supporters off the bigger coach on the way back.

I'd have made them travel back on National Express after that performance.

What has come of the incident between the Welling and Potters Bar manager earlier in the season?

A football club is being investigated over claims its sprinkler system was put on hours before a game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

King's Lynn Town were due to play South Shields in a 15:00 GMT kick-off on 14 February, but the Norfolk club announced the postponement a day before the match.

An anonymous source has released CCTV footage of a sprinkler in operation at the ground at 10:38 GMT on the Friday.

Why would it benefit them to postpone the game?
Maybe the sprinkers are on a timer?

A relegation-threatened National League side are being investigated on suspicion of deliberately causing a match to be postponed.

Pictures have emerged showing sprinklers watering the King’s Lynn Town pitch despite heavy rainfall before their match with South Shields FC on February 14 which was subsequently postponed.

King’s Lynn Town, owned by Singapore-based media entrepreneur Joseph Phua, now face allegations the club caused the deliberate postponement of the match.

However, after the match was called off following a pitch inspection, CCTV pictures were sent to the Non-League Paper. Time stamps indicate the footage was taken on Friday, February 13.

The National League is conducting an investigation into the allegations against Kings Lynn Town, who are 19th in the National League North table. The home club had been hit with injuries and illness that week.

South Shields said in a statement on Monday: “We are aware of reports that have surfaced over the course of the weekend regarding our postponed fixture versus King’s Lynn Town FC.

“The club has been approached by numerous external media outlets; however, the club will not be commenting further at this time.

King’s Lynn Town’s only comment since the postponement has been: “We can confirm that our previously postponed home fixture against South Shields (H) has been rescheduled to Tuesday 17th March with a 7:45pm kick-off.”

The National League has contacted King’s Lynn and requested access to the full CCTV video. A spokesperson said: “The National League are aware of the allegations and are conducting an investigation into it.”

King’s Lynn were taken over by Singapore-based Turn Sports Investments in November last year.

Lynn Town were formed in 2010 after the original King's Lynn FC went bust the year before ... I wouldn't be at all surprised if this incarnation goes the same way within two or three years if this is the way the new owners are going to treat the club.

My late father-in-law spent many a year playing in and around the Norfolk leagues and said The Walks had a very high water table due to all the little rivers, streams and fleets that run through and under the town leading to the River Great Ouse and therefore wasn't far from being a mud-pit even during long periods without rain. Groundsmen tend to be fairly clued up on the local weather forecast and local conditions so this doesn't look good.

(As an aside, my father-in-law and I went to the pre-season friendly there a few seasons ago - pre-Covid - and after we'd got into the ground we were making our way to the main stand when I'd lost sight of him ... only to find him mardling with the then-owner, Stephen Cleeve, who was an Aylsham boy. We eventually bagged a couple of seats to watch the match. At half-time the teams were making subs and Lynn changed their keeper. Not long into the second half he appeared, showered and changed, and sat a couple of rows in front of us. A few minutes later he turned round and then clambered over the seats to park himself next to my father-in-law and they spent a while chatting together. Apparently the keeper used to play for Wisbech, which is where the in-laws used to live until a couple of years earlier, and he recognised my father-in-law so came up for a natter!)

Kings Lynn Town are only 25 minutes down the road from me.
They have injury problems and South Shields are unbeaten since early December. proper shithouse watering the pitch.

South Shields will now have to travel down for a Tuesday evening game instead.

I wonder if they had a sell on fee for Sonny Carey in their deal with Blackpool? Not that they would have got anything as he was out of contract when we signed him.

An hour before kickoff, Woking's game against Solihull Moors was postponed following a pitch inspection. Yes it's been very wet this year, but it's been pretty dry these last few days and a lovely warm, dry day today.

I doubt the fans going to the game even considered the possibility of a postponement.

Woking's pitch is probably the best in the division. Not a fan of the groundsman but he's good at what he does.

Dartford got a narrow win at Welling today. Reports from Dartford fans said it was a terrible game of football. A couple of posts said that Welling were the worst team we've played, but that Dartford were no better and the game lacked any quality.

After that scenario with their supporters coach, hope they stay down.
Wasn’t pleasant going  there following  welling, and genuinely hope any promotion fails for them
