Charltons 3rd round draw against Hamlet has been put on hold for yet another season as Hamlet crashed out of the FA Cup at Champion Hill yesterday, losing 3-0 in what was described as a lack lustre performance.

    Any idea how many there?
  • Gonna sound like a right Acworth here but Alfie May just scored his 19th goal of the season for Erith & Belvedere already.
  • Another away defeat for Ebbsfleet tonight. That's 3 away league defeats on the trot now. With the amount of money Ebbsfleet have spent & the expectation of the owners, I'm sorry to say I can't see Steve Brown lasting much longer there

They won 2-0 at the weekend so hopefully that's bought him some more time. Sutton at home at the weekend who are a couple of places above them so a good chance to climb up the table. If I wasn't off to Rotherham, I'd head down there.......

Nothing on the Hamlet website - eg no match reports but Worthing say 489

Will be a tough game against Sutton, saw Sutton draw 1-1 with Concord Rangers a couple of weeks ago.
  • Welling had an impressive 2 0 win over Lincoln tonight. Sho-Silva looked lively but wasted a couple of gilt edged chances to score. He went off injured in the 2nd half with what looked like his ankle.

Another hat trick for him today takes his tally to 22 goals in 12 games. That's ridiculous whatever standard you are in. Looking on Twitter it appears he has a trial starting Monday. Won't say where though.

    Hopefully not Belmarsh

Surely that would be where he would go after the trial?

Old Bailey or somewhere closer to Sourhwark

Belmarsh does have its own courts.

Anyway, you know what I meant. Some people saying it's at Millwall for a week.

  • Fair play, good luck to the lad!

Yup good luck to him, there are a few non league gems about. Erhun has the number 10 shirt at Posh but no first team appearances yet.

    Got injured pre-season didn't he?
  • Went to Phoenix v Cray Valley last night very feisty affair kicked off a few times on the pitch.
  • VCD got proper hammered today. Nice little ground.
Showed Harrow far too much respect.
.3 defenders staying back for a corner to their own team, and all marking one Harrow attacker.
Kind of showed their hand (poker).
  • Welling smashed Altrincham 4 0 at their place. After a rocky start, the team is beginning to take shape.

Both at the same league level but I see Maidstone are flying high. Will be tough game if we beat Dorking tomorrow.

Conference and Football league are accepting 3g pitches, so that will be a relief to Maidestone, whose business model is based on their 3g pitch being used by the community, I wonder how long till more clubs install them.
  • Big game on Tuesday at Park View Road, Welling vs D d d d.... their local rivals, should be a big
crowd and both teams won away on Saturday. If you haven't been to PVR lately it will be a great chance to see and experience the new Wings Sports Bar with it 11 HD screens showing sky sports, new decor , lighting and furniture.

The referee appointed for the game .... Dean Treleaven hmmmm

The Conference will allow them from the start of 2015/2016 season. Divisions 1&2 of the football league have yet to vote (formal vote to be taken in November with a fairly even split). I can see the teams with any prospect of promotion to the Championship voting against as the cost of installation is approx £500,000 + cost of relaying grass if promoted or of course they could refuse promotion. The Women's world cup due to be played in Canada where the pitches at the venues proposed are 3G. A number of players have hired a lawyer to take the Organisers to court unless they provide grass pitches.
