Merthyr Town my second team needing just a point today at home v Bishops Cleeve for promotion to the Southern Premier League are 6-0 up

    That's just greedy
    Ended 9-0 proper greedy
  • Stones won 2-0 in front of 2,137. Should have been double that but had a few scares at our end too. Hoping on other scores in the run in now or it's play-off time.
  • Dulwich Hamlet beat Enfield 2-1, played well - they have a decent right winger (Luke Wanadio) and a very good striker in Luke Ottaway who was brilliant at holding the ball up.

Hamlet was a quality experience. They're known for having a really liberal, left wing support base but I wasn't quite expecting how much - there are gay pride flags everywhere, openly gay couples (literally never seen a gay couple at a game in the quarter century I've been going to football), about 1/3 of the crowd were women, about 20% were ethnic minorities. Really friendly, inclusive atmosphere and a brilliant bar !

Glad you enjoyed and got them back to winning ways. I've never notice the openly gay couples and of course the ethnicity would have been higher than 20% if I'd gone.

You have to come back if they get to play in the play offs ( for the win not the openly gay bit!).

700 Maidstone will increase the normality ratio in a couple of weeks!!

That's a joke btw - the normality bit, not the numbers!

It was brill - will definitely be back.

Attendance was 1,204 which was pretty incredible.
  • Slightly off topic, but I can't believe Tranmere are in the bottom 2 in L2, and Carlisle only 3 points above them. How are we meant to get promoted if Carlisle are playing Bromley next season!
  • Went to Wingate to see Hendon grind out a 2-1 win. One of the quirkier grounds on the circuit. The main stand looks like The Hoover Building's not so well off little brother.

Thursday's Margate v Hendon match looking very spicy. Maidstone fans will no doubt be there roaring on Margate so it's going to feel like The Alamo. Can't wait....should be fun.

Amazingly the Hamlet home fixture v Maidstone is an all ticket match .. sadly same day as Leeds at the Valley

  • I'll be at Hamlet with Maidstone that day. Think we more or less shifted the 700 allocated to us. Shame we couldn't have got more? Will Hamlet sell out?

Given the 1200 that SE9 mentions above and that Hamlet seem to have put a wheel or two back on, plus you bringing 700, I reckon easily. I think and I can't find anything to confirm this but capacity is around 1500.

Edit: Dulwich Hamlet - "The Hamlet". Champion Hill Stadium - Capacity: 3,000 (seating 700). Edgar Kail Way. Dog Kennel Hill. East Dulwich. London, SE22 8DB.
  • Bromley conceded a 94th minute equaliser to draw 4-4 at Maidenhead and drop back to 2nd in the league.
  • Went to Margate v Hendon last night. What a game...4-4. Hendon lead three times...then Margate went 4-3 up towards the end....and even after Hendon's late equaliser there were chances at both ends.

The result means that if Maidstone win their remaining games, they will be Champions.
  • Dulwich at Hendon 2-2, so we could not deliver a win for @Stone but did next best thing
  • 2-1 win for The Stones and we're nearly there now. Good luck in the play-offs @Kap10
  • Great result for Welling today winning 3.0
  • Bromley win while their rivals both slip up

A win or two draws from the

remaining two games and they go up to the national league as champions.

They can now make it ...fingers crossed
  • Sheffield being a tad too far for my taste, I stayed local and went to watch Woking beat Gateshead 3-0 to maintain their strong challenge for a play off place. Very enjoyable afternoon. Centre back for Woking was one Mark Ricketts who I believe was once a youngster at Charlton!

Massive 3 points. My daughter was the mascot today, she had a great day.
  • Phoenix lost in last minute to second place Ashford, who had a player sent of after 20 mins. Unbeaten league record goes with 4 games left, 8 points clear we with 4 games to go, but still have to go away to Ashford and 3rd place Erith and Belvedere, squeaky bum time.

If they can beat Wrexham on Tuesday it's game on.
  • Away to Alfreton on saturday, club are putting on a coach as well.
  • Crucial game for the wings tonight. Beat Wrexham and they'll leapfrog Alfreton and get out of the drop zone.

time to be positive ... can't make it but will be keeping updated on twitter feed
  • Think I will take a walk over there
  • Alfreton's last game is Bristol Rovers away, so win tonight and draw Saturday could be enough.
