Alfreton away to Bristol R who have to go for a win in last game.

    Welling home to Southport.

Great win for VCD away to Margate.

The race for the title in the conference is really tight this year. Barnet a point and superior goal difference ahead of Bristol Rovers.
However, Barnet have been stuttering for some time now (they were about 10 points clear earlier in the season). Today, Rovers were set to go top, but Dover got an 88th minute equaliser.
One game left. Could be interesting - especially as Barnet can go all out for the win if they're drawing in the last couple of minutes as a draw gives them no benefit regardless of what Rovers do!

Edit: just noticed that Barnet's last game is Gateshead (mid table) at home, while Bristol Rovers have Alfreton at home - The Welling supporters among you will know that Alfreton occupy the final relegation slot just below Welling on goal difference, so a huge game at both ends of the table. Welling have a home game against Southport who are 3 points and one position above them (and Welling will go above them if they win), but Southport are essentially safe unless there is an 8 goal turnaround with Alfreton, so hopefully Southport will be on their holidays already next week.
  • Hamlet drew 0-0 with Maidstone, not quite sure how that effects either of us, however the real talking point is the record crowd 3,000, not at all bad for tier 7
  • I am certain Dulwich have averaged over 1000 for the season now. makes them one of the best supported non league clubs in the country, certainly in the top 30.
  • Bromley win their first title since 1961. Well done Bromley, national league next year
  • It's a grand old team to play for,
It's a grand old team to see
And if you know your history
It's enough to make your heart go woaaaah
We don't care what the Woking say
What the hell do we care
Because we only know there's gonna be a show
When the Welling boys are there!
    United, United!

Yes I saw that, well done to them.

I heard a rumour that their Chairman is worried about the away travel cost's.

  • Headed over to Hayes Lane after the Charlton game today to join what really was a great party!
  • I'm not a Welling fan by any means, but thay have done a fantastic job to be where they are with one game left. They looked buried a while back, but it just goes to show what a couple of great results can do, including yesterday with ten men.

  • Day sacked by Ebbbsfleet. Are they just going to keep throwing money at managers until they get promotion!! http://www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk/home/club-statement-on-management-team/

Crazy ...May as well have stayed at welling

Nothing against the fantastic job that Loui has done (so far) with Welling, but it may not be a bad idea to get Day back.

    Yup, agree, a good fit
  • Think Fazakerley will get the job anyhow, but down the line can see Day going back.

Doubt Ebbsfleet will be able to spin this one.

I think they need to forget him and move on. Did a fantastic job but jumped ship when money called and probably wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
  • Welling have announced Fazakerley as permanent manager.
  • Welling 5:15 KO this saturday. Should be a good game
  • Welling 5:15 KO this saturday. Should be a good game

Pretty sure all Conference games kick off at 5.15 on saturday.

Dulwich make play off semi finals drawing away to Tonbridge Angels 2-2. Away to Margate on Thursday evening.

Has to be Hamlets highest finish for 15 + years
  • Alfreton 1 down against Bristol Rovers after 20 mins.
Good news for Welling's survival hopes and Rovers' title hopes as they move into top spot.
Five minutes later though, Barnet take the lead against Gateshead to go back on top.
  • 3-0 Bristol Rovers. Relegation places are done and dusted.
Just remains to see if Barnet can hang on to the win to take the title.
  • Barnet 2-0 up. Looks like they've got league football again next year.
Bristol Rovers now 4 up, but looks irrelevant for them, if not for Welling.
  • Farce in the Ryman Premier. Enfield have played an un-registered player earlier in the season but occupy the final play-off place. Their play-off is due next Thursday v Hendon but the League have just issued a statement saying the hearing might not be until Thursday. As it stands, Hendon don't know if they are playing Enfield or Met Police or when the game will be. One of the two iffy games the player played was against Hendon....and Enfield won 1-0. It's a mess.

Blimey thought the Football League were poor, surely Rymans could hold an emergency meeting tomorrow or Monday.

Seemingly the Ryman League have handed it over to the FA. The Ryman League statement is....

"The final table of the Ryman League's Premier Division shows that Enfield Town FC has finished in fifth position. However, the club has been charged with the offence of playing an ineligible player which could result in the deduction of three points.

"That charge has yet to be heard and will not be heard until Thursday 30th April unless the club agrees to an earlier date. Accordingly, the Ryman Premier Division play-off matches cannot be confirmed at this time.

"The League will now refer the matter to The Football Association because Ryman League rules make provision for matters concerning promotion to be decided by the Leagues Committee at The FA which will make any decision. the Ryman League itself is not empowered to make such a decision."

Enfield have been a bit unlucky. They were given incorrect records by the player's previous club, then found the error themselves and confessed.
