    The Integrity of Snooker at its best, all this diving(cheating in football)

    Barry Hawkins has just lost his match after calling a foul on himself, now you may say its just a stupid tournement that he doesnt care about.
    But now he lost he will not be defending his Grand Prix title that he won last year(he had to get to the final of the Shootout to book his place in the event he won a year ago

    Standard in snooker/pool imo and Hawkins benefited from someone else doing the same earlier vs Davies. I see it when we play pool alot but still get people who cheat not like football though thats a different level

    2 poor safety shots which is so unlike Williams.

    1st one gave Perry the opening break
    2nd to leave the blue ball pottable with 20 seconds left was unforgivable.

    Still nothing ever goes my way so i am not surprised

    A side note Michael Georgiou who started the weekend 64th on the 1 year ranking list(which is what the Grand Prix uses) if he wins he will go into the top 32 and be in the event at Preston

    I'm pleased for Michael, nice lad and that's a big breakthrough for him. I knew him when he was about 13 or 14 and he played for my team.

    After a week with no snooker it returns tonight from The Guild Hall in Preston

    Last Year Barry Hawkins beat Ryan Day 10-7 in the final.

    Due to the rules of this competition the top 32 on the 1 year list qualify which means Barry Hawkins is not going to defend his title.
