Isn't that the same thing ab there is more vitriol and discussion about her ability and capabilities due to those who wish them to fail due to their own preconceived ideas and agendas

Same as RD I said I'd give him time and watch the way he does his stuff before I decide if he is good or bad

To run a successful club and business takes time, mistakes and effort

So far I can see all three, and there are also good things and decisions being made

    I don't agree with Luzon I don't think it is a good decision I don't know if it's a mistake

What I do know is Powell had to go, from the disruption in the team and the lack of respect shown by BP and the players to BP

    He had to go

    Riga worked

    BP to a point worked

Let's see if Km and GL works

    Powell had to go...

I completely disagree with your comment. I'd much rather be sitting mid to lower table season upon season with an old friend rather than be saddled with a conveyor belt of non entities.
Player and manager recruitment under Ducahatelet has been very questionable.

On this basis I reckon we have a worrying future.

    .

    OK.

I KNOW I swore that I wouldn't post again on either this thread or the FF discussion but having read all the above plus the numerous( and valid) posts elsewhere on the site, 2 pieces of "classic" TV/film memories are uppermost in my mind.

No1 is the scene in The Exorcist when the possessed girl's head started spinning around - Tonight, I now know exactly how she must have felt.

And no 2 is that "famous" scene in Dallas when Bobby Ewing emerged from the shower to learn that everything he thought had happened of late was merely a dream.

That's what I'm hoping for tomorrow morning.

Come on Fanny - everyone knows it was Pam Ewing who woke from the dream, not Bobby!
You've got to get your references to half-baked, poorly-written, badly-acted soap operas right! Next you'll be saying Amy Turtle from Crossroads was a Russian spy!
Damn ! And I thought I had a couple of grey cells left .....

  • Katrien seems to be everywhere at the moment, my son dragged me into playing call of duty campaign mode last night, one of the characters on there is a dead ringer for her, she's certainly a fighter!

I agree Prague, we shouldn't just sit on our arses. But re- joining the Trust is not an option for me. The Trust are like a dog with no teeth, they have no bite. I have withdrawn my support after fifty three years and will not renew my Season Ticket for next Season. I know it will hurt the Club if more people did this but maybe KM and RD might sit up and take notice. It seems that money is all they understand.

I say I'm not going to renew every year but always seem to end up departing with my hard earned before the deadline to renew.

Hang on a minute Elfsborg. On the post match views thread, you said we will stay up comfortably ?

You can't have it both ways :-)

This is what I dislike about writing rather than talking!

Without sounding contradictory, I hope I can agree with WSS's comment but still expect us to stay up without problems.

We will win three games and that will stop millllllllllllllllll and Wigan catching us.

I confuse the f*** out of myself at times let alone other people!

This is the 21st century Absurdistan, sending a lady a bunch of flowers is a sexist relic of the last century.

Damned if she does and damned if she doesn't now, although that's a problem of her (and RD's) own creation. Really the programe was pitiful in terms of attempting to manage the message, but that's because no one is managing it rather than a criticism of the remaining comms staff. It's not their job to lead the organisation.

In fairness, writing programme notes at the moment must be a soul-destroying job. How the hell can anyone try to pretend the current situation is anything other than a disaster. The one who we should feel for is whoever ghosts Luzon ...

AB in your time did Murray and Curbs write their own program notes or did they get written by the comms team based on the individuals thoughts?

    Just curious nothing else.

I would of thought that she would of wanted to get hr side of events over and that would of been the best way of doing it. To me that makes her silence deafening.

Or least said best mended, anyway she's probably got enough on her plate dealing with the planning application for the training ground, due by the end of January to worry about programme notes. Not forgetting the transfers to get over the line by tonight. :-0

Curbs' notes were his own thoughts, polished up by the comms team. Matt Wright wrote in the latest Voice how he would keep taking out references to the thrashing at West Ham and Curbs would keep reinstating it.

Peter Varney wrote his own notes, as to my knowledge did Steve Waggott and Steve Kavanagh. Richard Murray rarely wrote a page but if he did I think it would have come via the chief executive. The comms team would tidy these up, but not introduce different ideas, etc.

What we would always write was any commercial message or letter to accompany season ticket forms, etc, whatever name was on it, although the signatory would usually see it in advance.

Yeah, apparently that Derek Ufton has retired now ....

More seriously, it was published on Jan 10th - the next one will now be on Feb 14th instead of 28th as planned.
