  • Drive to Leeds on Saturday. Train to Sheffield on Sunday morning then back too leeds! Long distance relationship win!!
  • I'm doing the night out in Sheffield and staying at jury's inn as well but in case no one else has thought of this like I didn't...we have to check out at 12 so if you're training it up there, there's nowhere to leave your bags during the game.

    Left luggage room?
  • They'll let you leave your bags there I'm sure. Most hotels do.
  • Cheers, just phoned up an they've got a luggage room. Buzzing for this one
  • Sorry didn't realise there was a thread already!

I'm only 19 and I haven't been soo excited for a game, and I feel that this is the most rewarding game I've seen them play.

I will be certainly emotional in either one way or another come Sunday afternoon!!!

    COYR's!!!!
  • Train up in the afternoon Saturday - drop bag at jury's inn for night out then back to hotel for late night charlton party... Hotel will hold bags until after the game
  • We wanna go out out in Sheffield so make sure everyone's still up to welcome us singing Valley Floyd Road at 2ish when we get in

I will be on the beautiful island of Boracay in the Philippines. I love the Philippines but it is the one country in SE Asia that doesn't care about English football - they do all the crap American sports. I will be following everything closely on www.charltonlife.com with a beer in hand!

Let me know what's it's like, I've always fancied a trip over there.
@Tel The Philippines is an amazing place, i was lucky enough to work there for 2 1/2 years. Also went to Boracay with Mrs RM, great and beautiful place, but be prepared to see some very bad poverty that makes some areas of the world (where there is poverty) look rich by comparison. anything you need to know about this wonderful country and their people just ask.
  • Drive up Sat lunchtime with my brother and fortunate enough to have a step sister with a student apartment round the corner from Bramall Lane. Hitting Leadmill Saturday evening and then a Sunday full of fatty food, celebrating an historic cup win, more beer and a tonking of the taffs in the 6 nations. Drive back South on Monday bleary eyed but hopefully thinking it was worth every second.
  • So where is good to go on the Saturday night in Sheffield?

Anyone know if that big Casino place is any good?

Heard that The Leadmill is good. And also heard that if you just head to Eccleston Road you will have a decent night, but please correct me if im wrong...i've never been so not too clued up!

But we all know where the party will really be kicking off.....the Jurys Inn better be ready!

Is anyone planning on sticking around after our game to watch the England Wales game? If so, any recommendations of where to watch it?
  • Theres a massive Walkabout in the City centre, they have all the Rugby and such on.

Leadmill is a student favourite, indy music mainly. Im too old for clubs these days but alot of the younger lads in the pub go to a club called Plug.

For late bars etc you can't beat Division Street, it also runs parallel with West Street which tends to be for the younger crowd. Stick to this area and you can fall out of one bar into the other.

If you fancy something a bit different, then a taxi to the dog track is only £8 from the city centre, plus bang next door to this is Napoleons casino. Cracking night in the dogs, and if your still flush head straight next door.
  • Cheers Magic
  • Where is the closest place for away fans to park magic?
  • Sheaf Island opens at 8am Sunday.

Anybody planning on starting in there?
  • up on the 16.47 train to sheffield from st pancras tommorow, dump bags in travelodge then see what delights sheffield has to offer, any ideas on how many charlton fans will be out on the piss tommorow night?? im expecting a fair few sing songs.

A decent area to park is behind the Decathlon sports shop. Near the ground there is a massive round about (St Marys), just off that you'll see the sports shop. Take the relevant exit off the roundabout and head behind there, plenty of street parking for free and a few pay and display car parks. 5 minute walk to the ground, just follow the crowd.

  • Going up with @kodfish and a few of his pals the sunday morning, going to be an early one!!! absolutely buzzing for this one
  • West Street and Division Street will have something lively to please most. Like any similar city centre the odd bit of fisticuffs up there is not unheard of but not mandatory like it would be in Doncaster. Look forward to hearing some tales on here next week - do tell.
  • As I was out in Sheffield 3 weeks ago, will be driving up and staying in Buxton on Saturday before hopefully parking somewhere in the vague vicinity of Bramall Lane on Sunday...
  • Oh and there is a big real ale festival in Rotherham with live music if you like beards, dodgy waistcoats and all that sort of thing
  • Working tomorrow. Travelling up early doors on Sunday to the hotel. Then on to the game. Hoping a celebratory roast/meal afterwards ;)

With proper yoooorrkshires!!! (Said in a Yorkshire accent).

  • Leaving about noon today, driving up with TelMc32 & his nephew. First stop is Warrington, I've got a bank job to do. Dropping my fellow addicks off at a local pub to meet up with another addick who lives up there. Hopefully my job should be more than a couple of hours, after a quick getaway, just be in Sheffield about 8ish. Must remember to pick the others up from the pub before I leave Warrington.

I really hope that I will be walking out of the ground tomorrow with a smile on my face and a semi on!
  • Weekend starts now. Just on a replacement service dodging the dawlish train issues and am on my way to London

Is it really wise to advertise that on here? You don't know who might be reading. Good luck with the heist.
