    Yep.

Lyanna Stark (Ned's sister) had Jon Snow with Rhaegar Targaryen (Dany's brother (not Viserys, the one who had gold poured on his head back in the day)).
  • Nephew vs Aunt won't happen. Tyrion was respected by Sansa and visa versa.

I can't see him turning on her, the same goes for Varys.

Yes it was confirmed in the last episode

A theory long suspected that his mum is Neds sister and his dad is Rhagaer who is Danaerys's brother as opposed to Neds bastard
  • I know Ned's sister gave birth to Jon, however I think I missed the part about Rhagaer supposed to be his dad ? ! How do you know this ?

I must admit I'm confused now and I've read the books. there was a underlying tone hinting to this, as Ned was involved with Robert Baratheon overthrowing the mad king. Could well of happened. But as I discussed elsewhere, there's another thing in the books relating to this so and associated family members, that's why I'm confused.

Kidnapped and held in the tower.

Isn't John still a bastard, just some one else's?

Unless they were married in secret. Again another theory.
  • Is Rhagaer son of the mad King ?

  • I think we are meant to think Jamie is going to turn on his sister, he has shown flashes of compassion and befriended people like Brienne. Although she has murdered countless people and caused the death of their last child, Jamie always loved her not the children.

It will be interesting to see where his loyalties lie next season.
  • My head hurts, and I will have forgotten all this in 10 months
  • Liana stark said to ned "don't let Robert hurt him" Robert Baratheon was killing all targaryean children at the time, so I'd say that was the confirmation

Not just that but Robert was in love with lyanna, I really don't think he would've let Jon live, evidence of rhaegar's "kidnapping and rape" of lyanna as well as the rightful heir to westeros.

I think Jaime will kill Cersei out of love since there is no way she can defend King's Landing against the combined forces of the Tyrells, Martells and Targaryens and she will either be captured and tortured or decide to try to raze King's Landing to the ground a la the Mad King and Jaime will find himself being called Queenslayer.

The Starks and Arryns will recover the Riverlands and then turn their forces towards defending the North from the Night King.

I just don't know about Euron Greyjoy now. His plan was to marry Dany but he has been outflanked by Yara and Theon so if he has a massive fleet, either he will raze the North as they are trying to defend against the White Walkers, or else align himself with the Lannisters and help defending King's Landing.

Samwell's plotline can only be going somewhere if he discovers something about the White Walkers/Children/Dragons whilst at the Citadel and has to inform Jon Snow. Possibly involving Valyrian Steel? Or Dragonglass?
  • Surely Arya will kill Cersei? She has to finish her list.

I think this is more likely, or Euron intercepts the Dany fleet and tries to attack them maybe.

I think a big sticking point will be Dany and who the north will align with. Sansa (and a lot of other northern lords) would rather fight Dany than become targaryen subjects (the last stark king before robb bent the knee to aegon the conquerer) while Jon will want to negotiate and try and get as many people to fight against the White walkers as possible. Potentially marrying Dany, or if he finds out about his parentage maybe challenge her or say "hey we family" and stuff.

she doesn't necessarily kill them all though- e.g. Joffrey

the prophecy is the 'little brother' will kill her. There are a lot of little brothers in westeros

Lyanna's words were close to “If Robert finds out, he’ll… kill him, You know he will Ned. Promise me you’ll protect him. Promise me.”

So i'm guessing he's Rhaegar's seeing as that was protected by Rhaegar's finest soldier.

don't forget Sam has another Valerian sword.

Also don't forget the white walker that came back to life on the wall.

Sam IMO will discover the magic on the wall needs a Maester to keep it going or something like that.

The Kingsgaurd only protected members of the royal family.

So they would disobey a direct order to protect a building? I'm not buying that.
  • Didn't Gendry go to find out how to make valerian steel?
  • Didn't Gendry go to find out how to make valerian steel?

Bit like Benny from crossroads going off for a spanner, wasn't seen for years.

Before my time I think mate haha
  • I wonder if Gendry has been hiding at the Citadel. There's bound to be a blacksmith or two kicking around there somewhere.

eh? They obeyed rhaegar's command to guard to tower because it had a member of the royal family there. In the books, rhaegar is said to have been obsessed with the "prince who was promised" prophecy and believed jon would be him
  • I can barely keep the events in my own life straight, with names, family politics, work, deaths, marriages, divorces and everything else.

Throw weird and wonderful lands, exotic names, magic, dragons, warring factions and the like and I've got no chance.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for providing a bit of clarity on this and making me look like a genius in front of the missus when I explain what's possibly going on.
