Noooo my train is running late at the moment... Im SORRY everyone I didnt mean to jest, make it stop... MAKE IT STOP4

Was at Waterloo east. Sidcup train cancelled. ‘Get on Hayes train and change at London Bridge where the Sidcup train will be starting’ said the tannoy. So we obeyed. Bollox was it. Cancelled at London Bridge too. Why lie?
London Bridge station full of drunk work do city nobs and it’s a much colder platform to stand on waiting after a 12 hour day at desk.1 -
Thats the unit that hit the van on the level crossing.JWADDICK said:I can't do the tweet thing here but they genuinely tweeted this morning that...
.. the 6.23 Margate to St Pancras train will be formed of 6 coaches only this morning because of damage to one of our high speed trains in October.
One can only hope they mean October this year.0 -
I rarely travel on southeastern but today I traveled from st Pancras to sittingbourne. Journey there only 10 mins late but my return to st Pancras was nearly an hour late; signal problems in the gillingham area.0

Train up from Dartford to London around 6.30 this evening, was not stopping at Welling , Falconwood or kidbrook owing to 'poor rail conditions'. Luckily Bexleyheath wasn't on their hit list and I managed to get home.0

I've just had a tweet from southestern that says (sorry, not sure how to pop this into proper quote box thingy)
NFO: We're currently having a few technical glitches whereby all trains are showing as delayed - even though they're running on time. Sorry for any inconvenience caused whilst we try and resolve the issue.6 -
My train this moring was delayed "due to unforseen circumstances"!!!!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!
You're telling me most of the delays are foreseen???
I mean be more general next time. Also feck off.5 -

I know a lot of people who wouldn't have been anywhere near as tolerant as the bloke was there. Usual drills for situations like this. Nobody helps but everyone pulls their phone out to send round to anyone they have ever met as a personality replacementValleyGary said:6 -

Bet he realised that he was being recorded so had to try and remain a bit more tolerantCarter said:

Anyone catch which line this was on?ValleyGary said:0 -
They can be seen passing along Platform 5 at Hither Green Station, heading in the direction of London, so would have been coming from Sidcup/Dartford direction.man_at_milletts said:

The good part of my return journey was seeing the Orient Express stopping at Sittingbourne station. Only filmed from the inside so difficult to be sure, but there's something about the vinyl floor covering which makes me think it's my old friend, the 610725.man_at_milletts said:

It looks about the same age as most of the trains they've "invested" in. Still, a 30 year delay would at least qualify me the top band of compensation - could be looking at a payout of as much as £4.eaststandmike said:

Anyone else find this "you might be more comfortable" choice of language infuriating? They're winding me up at the moment. Tis the season to be delayed every fricking day due to laziness and ineptitude.

I see that train pretty often in the morning as I get off platform 1 at Victoria. Cheers me up slightly after the inevitable awful journey I've just had.Solidgone said:Is this the Orient Express?

Anyone who watched the programme about Paddington Station recently would have seen the derailment on Platform 1 which caused havoc.
The official investigation into the derailment has been published, and it was caused by the sleepers on platform giving way, due to excess water and other detritus from passengers flushing the loo while in the station. Years of bodily waste and water leakages from the trains weakened the wooden sleepers causing them to split and the rails widen, causing the derailment.
So, lesson to be learned, don't have a dump while the train is in the station please.

You can almost sense the smug smirk of the condescending pillock who tweeted that.MrLargo said:

Train fault tonight. Someone mentioned the annual fare increases and according time the train companies they invest 97% of their income on running costs and improvements. The lying bastards.2

Probably not, but “running costs”could include anything, including massive bonuses for managementPlumstead_Micky said:Train fault tonight. 1) I'm far better looking than that.
2) I'm far too passive aggressive to actually get in a confrontation if it can be avoided. So likely I would have stood up giving her the evils for the entire journey and thinking of all they ways I could cut off her first feet and help myself to the seat.3
