Like or loathe? Just wondered what everyone thinks of him, personally I like him and I think he gets unfair stick, the popular opinion seems to be he's miserable and shite. Thoughts?
I feel sorry for him. But he really really doesn't help himself. He's a terrible football show host. Should go back to doing working lunch, something he at least knew he knew nothing about. I hate his leading questions which are the kind some one on charlton life or the idiot down the pub who always has an opinion would ask.
Gary linekar is a far better broadcaster and clearly knows his football. I've always thought it was a shame linekar was never a pundit because he's very knowledgable about the game.
Chiles trying to fill those 40 minutes in Miami was so painful. It would be tough for anyone to fill it but with chiles it was like watching a sweaty octopus trying to unhook a bra.
I really like him sure he is unproffesional but he is just a fan who has landed his dream job, good luck to him, the only person who keeps ITV's coverage watchable IMO.
His whole watching England/West brom through gritted teeth from behind the sofa because 'they never win anything' routine really is starting to grate with me. I reckon he should be left in a dark room with Roy Keane and a nailed bat for an hour or two.
Don't particularly mind him. He's no better or worse that a lot of anther presenters. What I do find obscene is that he is considered to be worth £1m a year. Frankly it baffles me that he's with any more than the minimum living wage for what he does.
I think he was right to question the, professional footballers on the panels, attitude that getting someone red carded through "simulation" is just a part of the game but rather its now embarrassing and should be dealt with.
Otherwise I don't mind him and think he brings more to the party than others like Rio, Savage and the german feller who's name I don't know. Funnily enough I heard Joey Barton on the radio and for a complete tool he made some good points.
Can't even begin to understand what qualifies him to lead ITV's coverage of the World Cup. The most worrying thing is that ITV's management must think he's what we want to watch.
If the World Cup was being held in England and itv's studio was in the middle of Trafalgar Square, there would be more than 2 holes in the windows by day 5, if our Brummie friend was still presenting.
Theres always one, and this time it's me. Watching the other day I said to my wife 'I like this bloke'. It takes all kinds you know, right time, right place. Try what my old dad used to do, turn the sound off when he was watching football.
How has he landed this job? He must have naked pics of someone high up in ITV, there is no other way to explain how he's got in there. Just a fat bloke who's not funny, and is slightly odd.
I like him, I think his attitude is refreshingly honest. He is not expected to be a football expert, but his role is to manage and lead a conversation amongst the 3 ex-players (thus "expected" experts) on the panel. His style is somewhat different from others in his role and I find his quips light-hearted. Each to his/her own, of course.
He's really bad, such a shame when there are some great people out there, shame is that I thought he was ok on MOTD2 but seems to have amplified his worse qualities with the move to itv

But does prove you can be a famous tv personality without a personality.

He's got a stupid sense of humour and visually irritates the shit out of his pundits

A slightly ugly bloke I guess.
Iam, officially, "sitting on the Adrian chiles fence"

He is there to present the programme and to bring the 'expert' panelists into play.
He is a presenter, not a pundit.
