22, lightening quick, good scoring record, full international.
From the youtube video, he looks to be really clinical in the penalty box - just what you want from your striker.
Sadly - this is the kind of player that would benefit from playing alongside a Yann Kermorgant type of player who can spot an intelligent run. So the next target is someone who is imperious in the air, has a great touch, can pick a pass and doesn't mind doing all the dirty work.
Joking aside - he looks like he is in the right place at the right time quite often. Pretty clinical and blisteringly fast. I assume we will be looking to sign some creative players now to unpick a few defences and set him free.
Well we have an abundance of small quick strikers (Ansah, Vetokele, Reza, technically I guess Church too) so if Bob remains true to reported form we can expect at least one big lump/target man to sign on (unless he has a LOT more faith in Polish Pete than most fans do). Probably see a proper, specialist right winger come in too unless Solly's fitness is one hundred percent ensured and Wilson freed up.

Solly's fitness unfortunately will never be 100% ensured, like big Richard Rufus he's going to have knee problems for the rest of his life. He'll be starting a lot of games but a few of them during the season may pass him by, such a shame as he's such a talent, doubt he'd ever be able to pass a medical elsewhere. Hope he can still perform with us and find his best form.
Yep definitely need a target man for this guy to play off of, and some tricky wingers, make or break with this big target man - as if we get it wrong we're left with what could be a big bunch of ineffective speedy strikers

Didn't we survive with Darren Bent on his own before? Doesn't necessarily mean we need a big lump up front, although i am all for that as well. Not arguing with what you are saying, i'm just saying we don't necessarily need a big target man if the speedy strikers we have are good enough.
Unsure about this signing, me and the brother had a back-and-forth about this, ubt I'd much prefer someone who can win us headers both offensively and defensively - depends on Peeters' preferred formation
Darren Bent was pretty big and strong and good in the air as well as being fast - that's why he could play up top on his own so well. Not sure any of our current crop quite live up to that.
So vetokele is shit hot lightning quick looks natural goalscorer who hasn't played in championship is foreign to small goes down to easy played in a league not as good as championship so won't be good enough.then if he scores loads of goals and does well his of to liege.bet his looking forward to joining us. COYR

It is doable, but let's look at what we got. Ansah has been playing against 19 year old and 20 year old defenders, not much more, Reza was very obviously lightweight from what we saw of him in the 10 games, Church, is well Church. And this guy untested, I think its a neccesity we get a plan B, maybe even a plan C attacking wise. If Igor doesn't enjoy his time in the Championship, a bit like Reza bar one moment of magic, we will get a bit stuck. This could be a good signing if it's supplemented correctly.
None of the three have (yet) proven close to Benty in quality/Championship goal record, quite apart from which three little and no large does not quite gel with what is reported to be Peeters' favoured style. As Kermorgant showed, and his loss proved, sometimes you NEED a physical battler up front, even if only to switch it up and give chunky clogger CBs another threat to deal with - the likes of Shittu would batter our current strike force out of any game, as his positioning negates lack of pace.
A view from a Danish mate: "people seem to think that FCK sold him surprisingly cheap. The media have previously written about him not getting along too well with the current manager (he has said so himself), so that might explain it. I know he was disappointing in the beginning, when he arrived, but under the former manager Ariël Jacobs he developed a lot, so at the end he was very good for FCK. He might not be big and strong enough to play in the championship, though..."
some comments here make me smile: vetokele really is a good player, doesn't mean he can't have a bad season at charlton though.
BUT suppose another championship team bought FC Kobenhavns best striker from the last two seasons - reactions would be probably: why does club x buys such a guy and we don't...
This guy definately has what it takes imo. But every transfer is a bit of a gamble, you will never know how a player performs, it's always a bit "wait and see". Even if you guys buy Messi, he could get injured preseason and not be able to even play an entire year.
according to belgian media, it's just a formality to sign, if the medical is ok he signs.

Thanks for your input again BYL, the anticipation, excitement of another season is looming large and I think everyone wants us to get a few deals over the line. It certainly seems like this guy has the right pedigree, let's hope he settles quickly and bags a few goals for us this year. That is of course if he signs, which still hasn't happened as yet!
Superliga wages are also quite low, so hopefully personal terms will not be a problem. A friend is on the board of Brøndby and their highest paid player, and therfore the upper end of superliga salaries, was paid around GBP 10000 a week, Vetokele because of his age, a lot less.
CAFC may find that English players and their agents decline terms offered but I think a fundamental part of the Duchatelet plan is to bring in players from European leagues. Assuming he flies in at the weekend and signs it sounds like he might be the biggest signing for some years... 22, big 7 figure fee, and European experience... As long as he signs alongside Morrison Poyet and a few new faces we're laughing!

Has he actually signed?
So 10 pages of comments on a player who may or may not sign.
