Just to add to that, both Nishikori and Cilic have never played a grand slam final... Looking forward to watching as a neutral.
Wow, great stuff from the two underdogs - don't think anyone saw that coming. It's not the final the sponsors will have been hoping for but on the day both Cilic and Nishikori were just too good for their more illustrious opponents and fully deserve their shot at the big one.
These facts are becoming tenuous but the last time a grand slam final wasn't contested by at least one seed from 1-9 was in 1999, before seeds were extended from 16 to 32.
