The Philips Stayen Cup - St. Truiden v Charlton

I learned that Igor is fearless and will score a few goals with good distribution. Kadell had some nice touches and some skill, Gomez didn't look out of place. Bikey is massive will be a good signing but will cost a couple of goals with silly mistakes.
The winger for them was very quick, would like to see more of him and wouldn't mind signing their German CH.
Nice run out but you could see the players didn't really know each other yet.2 -
So seriously, who won the cup?2

I wasn't looking for a bite - as you say, it was a reasonable question. In fact, I didn't have you in mind at all.ValleyGary said:
Hes gonna love me biting.Uboat said:If we'd won both games would the Roland lovers have been saying, 'They're just warm up games. No need to read anything into it.'
Actually, no need to answer that.
I'll answer your question, despite your request not too.
Yes I would have. I would have commented on a well taken goal or positive signs, just for the fact that we would have produced goals just 7 days into pre season. I commented that Bikeys distribution look decent but I won't know if he will make a good centre half for us until I've seen him several more times. As we lost against a good European side who are a couple of weeks ahead in terms of preperarion and drew a 90 minute game on an unfamiliar surface with new players and some youth I'm not gonna be critical. Were there mistakes etc...Yes of course but the manager etc have been together for a week! It's the fact some people, especially via the clubs social media, can't see that and even moaning cos the game was boring. I mean ffs, do some fans understand what pre season is about???
Plus I dunno why you have to use the phrase 'RD lovers' as it makes yourself look like a bit of a plum, especially when the question you asked was a perfectly reasonable one .
Using the phrase 'Roland lovers' was a bit pathetic, I know, but no worse than 'glass-half-empty brigade', 'moaners', 'negatives' 'suicidals' etc, that anyone who dares to question anything gets labelled with.0 -

Personally i just think people need to put a little bit more trust in the plans for the club and the team, but we've all been over this a thousand times and ultimately everyone wants whats best for CAFC.0 -

I've got nothing against Roland yet (apart from sacking Powell, obviously, but we move on). I just find it annoying that you're not able to ask questions without getting called a doom-monger.Greenie Junior said:

On the other hand, if you praise RD it apparently makes you an apologist, or a collaborator... luckilyUboat said:

Took some photos of the CAFC in the tunnel area, who were serenading Lawrie Wilson with a pleasant ditty, unfortunately the camera it appears did not work properly so it has not come out, in the meantime here they are making some noise......0
