What a waste of talent, and for once not something that I blame Robinson, Roland or Katrien for.
Clearly got bundles of talent, as was evident when he first signed, but pretty useless last year at a much lower level. He'll be playing for Barnet or a second tier side in Scotland before too long - you can only dine off of that Barcelona goal for so long.
“Josh Magennis has not rejected a contract,” said Robinson. “Josh has got a year left and is going to a World Cup in the summer."
Jumping the gun a bit there. Looking good for group runners-up, so they'd go into the play-offs - could face Portugal, Spain or Italy, France, Sweden or the Dutch. If he wants to go to the World Cup his best chance is to apply in the ticket ballot, same as me.

Yeah sadly Id be surprised if Northern Ireland do go, best they can hope for is a Play-Off game against either Republic of Ireland or Wales who seem destined to fight it out for second in their respective Group.

Yes it something you can blame Roland and Katrien for (certainly not Robinson). He was bought into the network at huge cost on the back of 1 goal against Barcelona. After failing in Belgium he was palmed off on us at huge cost. Bundles of talent but this is only 1 thing that makes a decent player. Curbs and SCP could elaborate!

why not? He was a network signing, dumped on us with big wages and been a flop. Can't see how he differs to all the others.

Yeah I agree that it's Roland and Katrien's fault that the club's lumbered with his presumably quite significant wages. Curbs and Powell wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole.
I was looking more specifically at his failure to fulfill his potential, rather than the detrimental effect that has on the club's P & L sheet. A predictable outcome, but still frustrating after he was generous enough to spend his first couple of months at Charlton demonstrating what he can do on the rare days when he feels like it.

I still think building site in Glasgow in a couple of years personally

Press Conference not until this afternoon. Delayed from the usual morning slot so that Fat Karl can unveil our two new strikers and our new reserve right-back, or delayed so that he's got a bit more time to think of this week's excuses for not signing anyone?

Or more likely so he can take training in the morning and do the presser in the afternoon.
There's also a Community Trust event today he might be attending.

Its almost as if you don't want Robinson to succeed, any excuse to have a pop.

Not at all. Not his fault that we've got a paper thin squad yet again, that would be down to the people in charge of the purse strings.
Having said that, not at all impressed that Robinson keeps making excuses for them.
Its almost like in his two interviews he's briefly got Charlton and Huddersfield mixed up!!... i.e. words like "I just hope the lads can perform to their max" are the words of a Manager about to face a big team in a Cup match, not a fellow League One side
The comment about them changing shape to counter us, rather than the other way round, is one I really like. We should be going into games with that sort of mindset, and it's a long way from Slade's hideous defensive set ups last year. On the flip side, the idea that they will know all our calls and set piece routines is concerning, almost like the excuses are being put up before the game. Surely we could have prepared some stuff Barker won't have any knowledge of?

Or Tony Hudd can't make it until PM
Lee Novak's future is wherever the Player decides it seems...
as I said @MrLargo sometimes there is a reason, it's not always a conspiracy or incompetence.
Let's be honest though, Henry. More often than not, it's down to incompetence.
I'll have some of what Paul Warne's been drinking please. Guessing that would be a cocktail of Absinthe and Domestos.

Despite saying we needed 3-4 signings recently.
