Another loss today, this time 1-0 away to Valladolid who go top.
Been in an interesting discussion on the Alcorcón message board with some of their fans and hope to develop this connection. The most recent comment is very critical of the RD regime there.
Still remain very surprised if RD sticks with the manager at Alcorcón. They put out a press release the other day saying that he would definitely be the manager for the rest of the season, despite the recent speculation otherwise. We'll see...
Alcorcón supporters club, unhappy with events on and off the field, are protesting at this Saturday's home game against Las Palmas by taking their seats five minutes after kick off.

Be just their luck if they score their only goal during those 5 minutes
Drew nil nil tonight at home to top of the table Las Palmas and are now 12th in the league. Not a bad result against a team that will probably be in La Liga next year. Will have a look at how the fan protests went as well and write up on that tomorrow.
Big derby day today in South Madrid with Alcorcón at neighbours Leganés who have slowly climbed the table to go up to eighth after getting promoted this year. Alcorcón have dropped down to 15th after yesterday's results and, despite last week's decent nil nil at home to leaders Las Palmas, the fanbase are very frustrated. They haven't won in 2015, did little business in the transfer market and are persisting with manager José Bordales and his physical, negative style of play.
A loss tonight at Leganés will focus the fans' anger more on RD, who they see as distant, uninvolved and more interested in stadium development than team progress. A win for Leganés could put them in the playoff places. Live on Teledeporte in Spain at 9pm tonight so will post updates later for those interested.
One nil up at half time after a goal from top scorer David Rodríguez. Crazy scenes just before half time with manager José Bordales sent off and having to be dragged away from the ref to stop him taking a swing at him.
Definitely. Hoping they can hang on - haven't won in ages! Most people in Spain watching Real Madrid v Villareal at moment but quite enjoying this end of the weekend match.
2-1 Alcorcón full time. Very ugly second half with a player sent off for each team as well as Alcorcón's assistant, leaving them no-one giving orders after the manager went in the first half! Alcorcón go up to 10th. Maybe a late push for the playoffs could still be on.
Watching second half of Alcorcón - Recreativo Huelva (after sitting through Sex and the City 2 with the Mrs - horrific).
Alcorcón winning one nil but have just had a player sent off with 35 minutes left. Can't see them holding on. Disciplinary record awful this year and they have their third trainer on the sideline after both Bordales and his assistant were sent to the stands last week.
Inevitable they would concede but under the circumstances not a disaster. 13th now and playoffs very unlikely. It's actually a great league this year and very similar to the Championship with the top five only separated by a couple of points.
Away to Osasuna today in a rare Saturday afternoon game for Alcorcón. Kickoff 4pm Spanish time. Osasuna are in crisis at the moment: one place above the relegation zone after dropping down from La Liga last year, their president has just been sent to prison and their sponsors have pulled out. Terrible times for a team that used to be mainstays of Spain's top league.
A win for Alcorcón and favourable results this weekend could see them up to eighth. Will update later for those interested.
One all last night away to sixth place Real Zaragoza. Alcorcón now in twelth place, six points off the final playoff place.
Real Betis are top with Pepe Mel back in charge. Sporting Gijon second with Las Palmas, Gerona, Valladolid and Zaragoza just behind in a very tight league.

Seems like a strong league this season? - obviously Barca B cant be promoted ?
B teams can't be in same league as parent club and it looks like Barca B will be relegated to join Real Madrid Castilla (managed by Zidane) in the regionalised third level.
Big game tonight for Alcorcón, at home to Alavés who are one place above them and both on 41 points. Whoever loses is pretty much out of the playoff race and the winner could go up to eighth, three points off sixth place Zaragoza. A lot of the other teams in this pack in this tight league are playing today, so it is very close.
Real Betis beat Osasuna today to stay top and look like they will go straight back up. It's an enjoyable and quite equal league this year and I see a lot of it as it's on free TV. Alcorcón are live on TV tonight at 9, which will undoubtedly affect the attendance again. Will watch it (if the Mrs lets me) and post updates later for those interested.
