The best team won it .. terrific with bat, ball and in the field .. the Australian team has a great team spirit and typically Oz .. they just do not know when they are beaten. England had a great team with great team spirit not so long ago .. but now the top bowlers are old or aging at best, Swann has gone as have Trott and Pietersen .. we need to get that good spirit back and to blood some quick bowlers tout de suite ... however, a replacement captain and coach would go a long way to improving the whole England international cricket set up
People might slag off Trott, but his average in both Tests and ODI's is bettered by very few , if any, in the current teams. i'm not saying he is the way forward, but we have very few out there who are better currently.
Storm over nothing or more evidence that India rule cricket?
Sounds like a case of crying over spilt beans.
I was told the other day that the main reason India refuse to adopt DRS is because the adopted systems at present do not emanate from India. At the beginning, it was thought that the likes of Tendulkar knew that there was more likelihood of him being given out LBW, but now that he's gone, the excuse lies elsewhere- and once they can create something 'better' then they will adopt DRS. To me , non-adoption of DRS is laughable (especially when India get a decision given against them when its plainly wrong on replay).

N Z had a great tournament, losing just one match - unfortunately it happened to be the big one.
