  • Any news on the 5 year season tickets?
  • How did it all go? Was kat there?
  • Was there tea and biscuits?
I hope nobody munched their way through our transfer kitty.
  • So any titbits?
  • I believe they are all sworn to secrecy until the official minutes have been approved and published. So please be patient for c two weeks...
  • Sworn to secrecy?
    You what?
I know that minutes have to be approved as accurate and all that, but that is usually at the start of the next meeting which I reckon is much more than two weeks away.
Is it secret because the da Vinci Code has been cracked or something.
    Sheesh!
  • The board have to approve the minutes first, and then say something completely different to back them up
  • Can anyone confirm who from the club leadership was there

    Meire

  • Seems Katrien was there and spoke passionately about the events - from CASTrust website:

"Yesterday club Managing Director Katrien Meire chose to make a statement in Evening Standard, prior to the Fans Forum meeting. At that start of that meeting she made a sincere speech about events of last week to the group – the meeting is subject to a reported minuted process so we are obliged to respect that."

So once again the plebs have to wait for the info from the "fans" forum. Which only chosen ones can attend. Whilst the club has full access to this info and chooses how to edit and release it.
It stinks and isn't justifiable in any way.

Put yourself up for election to the CAS Trust board or any of the other bodies represented

    You miss my point.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I believe from the very beginning of the Fans Forum, the minutes have always been subject to approval before being published.

So it's been a cockeyed way of doing stuff from the beginning then.
  • Interesting that the club want us to remember, when the football is terrible, that they spent some money on the pitch.

I also wonder what audience the Trust are aiming for when they publish things like 'Forging a strategic relationship between the Board and the Supporters’ Trust '.

Has someone on the trust swallowed an MBA textbook?

no it was brought in under Bradshaw, I think
  • I don't have a problem with them issuing approved minutes after such a meeting - but then it should be done within 24 hours as standard. Otherwise, what is the point?

so you agree they will be watered down then?

I agree completely. The turn around should be hours not weeks.

The Fan's Forum is far from perfect but at the moment it is one of the few formal avenues we fans have to not just KM but the other members of staff who attend.

It stinks and isn't justifiable in any way.

Its fairly standard practice for any official minutes to be agreed by all present before publication in a public domain. The 'minute taker' could always misrepresent something said and cause embarassment and confusion. No one would want that would they...

Problem is by the time they publish the minutes in two weeks time it will be out of date, as we'll be onto our next manager head coach by then and Jackson and Ben Haim leaving will be the hot topics on here.
  • I guess the Trust referring to KM's speech as "sincere" implies they were suitably impressed by what she had to say? Perhaps a little contrition?

Without breaching any confidences in advance of the minutes, are any other attenders able to say whether they shared that positive view of what KM had to say?
  • So, to sum up Katrien has basically said "it's our way or the highway", or to put it another way, "who the feck cares what you plebs think we are considerably richer than you".

Sorry but if that is the case I'll take the highway and my insignificant amounts of money with me!
