29 years ago this weekend I saw Richie Benaud in the most unlikely of places, wandering around Augusta on the last day of the US Masters, of course totally unrecognised by anyone else in the crowd.
RIP Richie, the last of the golden age of cricket commentators.

Fifty Five for Five. Nobody read that score better than Richie.
RIP.
I'm beginning to feel real old.

"Gatting has absolutely no idea what has happened to it. Still doesn't know!"
A golden voice from long ago golden summers.
RIP Richie
Absolute legend

Him along with Johnners were my all time favourite commentators.
Those two would make you feel part of the game no matter how dull some games were.
True craftsmanship
"McGraths gone for two, only 98 runs short of his century"
RIP a great man.
