Kevin Nolan is training with Orient apparently after being released by west ham. Reckon he'd be pretty decent for us if his wage demands weren't silly.
You are not going to drop Kashi or Cousins for him (and maybe not even Ba). Don't see where he would fit in.
Where he fits in is irrelevant, if Rolly wants to do his dough he will but don't hold your breath.
Bergdich possibly. I think I'm in the minority and think he's a decent player.
It's difficult as we definitely need more depth in areas, but find it pointless paying prem wages, or a portion of, unless he will be starting most games.
I like him. I think once he's settled and adjusted he will be a very good signing.
Agreed. Looked lively against QPR. All the new signings should be given at least 10-15 games IMO. Cellabos for me has looked the most ineffective based on what I've seen, but I certainly won't be writing him or any others off
Bergdich I think is another Bulot in that he will take time to settle but has shown glimpses of skill. Certainly wouldn't right him off yet. Same goes for cabellos (that pony corner aside of course). Kashi, cousins and Ba are 3 very strong central midfielders to choose from. Happy with any 2 of those as a pairing. Not had that for a while.
Bergdich looked good to me so far, pretty skilful, maybe not quite on the pace. Ceballos looked like he needs to put on a lot of muscle or quicken up fast, he seemed too easily run off or barged off the ball and while technically sound looking was not happy yet in the championship. May also learn and pick up how to use his definite skills in a different environment quickly

Is that the same Ceballos who already has two assists to his name?
Looking forward to him sorting himself out and getting up to speed.
"The Addicks missed out on two players on transfer deadline day, including Wolves winger James Henry after their improved second offer was rejected. Luzon however is keen to get at least one more, preferably two, in as soon as possible to give their midfield more of a spark. “Whether we are disappointed or not (that Charlton missed out on deadline day signings), I hope we will sign a new player this week or next week,” Luzon said. “We have a good squad but a short squad. We need a minimum of another player to help us. I hope we will get that done. “We need another attacking midfielder as we are short in that area. “I don’t know whether it will happen before the weekend or not, if we sign some players they won’t be ready for Saturday anyway. “Maybe we can get a loan from the Premier League, we have a few candidates and we hope in the next week we will have another player.” Luzon has key men such as Igor Vetokele, Tony Watt and Stephen Henderson returning from injury to bolster his squad.
Marvin Sordell joins Colchester ... Great deal for them at that level links up with Harriott
Bizarre. Left us (technically Bolton) and was picked up by Burnley (premiership at the time), and now signed for a league 1 club. I guess this is what can happen to players after a few seasons without a steady home. Such a young age though to be dropping back down though
Best wishes to Marvin Sordell. I really hope he gets his career back on track, I think the guy shows a bit of humility in taking a year's deal at a Lge 1 club. But he's not your regular Billy Big Boots is he? Puts a lot of his time and resources into very laudable causes. And I'll never forget that sublime hat-trick at the home of the Massives.
Given that this is (allegedly) a rumours thread...any rumours about the player that Luzon mentioned may, or may not, be incoming before (or not) the Rotherham game?
Good attitude by Sordell, on the BBC he said "I'm not one of those who's bothered whether he's playing in front of 90,000 like i did for Team GB or 3000 or 5000 at Colchester. I'm like a five or 10 year old who just wants to play football. Why wouldn't you want to play?"
Good luck to him, hope he gets himself back on track.

Colin reckons Kevin Nolan. But I can't see anywhere that Ketts has said that.

Nolan supposedly training with Orient - but suspect that's more because of location. Think, at 33, he could still do a job for us. I realise that opinion is very split on that!

Good luck to him. From his season with us, I was surprised Burnley signed him, but also surprised he couldn't get a Championship club interested, like a Rotherham. Surely he would have been a better signing for MKD than ahem Church?

If you were talking about last season I might have agreed but I don't think we currently need him. Better to spend any money we have elsewhere. Not a slight on Nolans ability to do a job more that we are well covered in this area.

He could, but if budget is as stretched as KM says it is then I'd rather we spend elsewhere, i.e left wing, especially as we have good options at CM.

wouldnt get in the team ahead of kashi, ba and cousins. Then there's jacko who's already in that elder statesman role.

I'd rather have Nolan than Powell. Powell has a reputation for having a shocking attitude. Ferguson didn't like him, they sent him back from Leicester and it seems like he has timekeeping and disciplinary issues wherever he goes. Nolan on the other hand is a lot like Jackson. Represents the manager on the pitch and shows up with goals. If Nolan is willing to take a low wage and rotate in and out of the squad much like Jacko does then he'd be a great addition. Powell has talent but I don't know if I'd want to drop any of our centre mids for him, and from his previous I don't think he'd fancy working his way into the team

Sue Parkes Harry he was on an International loan, that means that his contract with Charlton had to be cancelled with the English FA. The club he went to had to re register him with the FA in their country therefore he cannot come back to us outside of the transfer window. Like · Reply · 1 · 17 hrs

Sue Parkes No he's not Scott. The Club he went to (I can't think of the name) could if Charlton agreed loan him to another club in their country at present but they can't send him back to us as that would constitute another international loan which as I said above can't now take place until the next transfer window in January. Wouldn't we be better off getting him loaned out in Romania just to get him game time and put him in the shop window ? Even if it meant paying all his wages which we are anyway. Better that than letting him cruise through until January at Sparrows.

Don't see where Nick Powell would fit in.
Bennett at least can play in a position we need to cover (left mid) but is a bit defensive for my liking. Is he a better bet than Bergdych?
Our other weak spot is right back but can't see a Premier League player coming to be Solly's deputy.
Could it be Samuelson, from West Ham?
