Really not sure to make of Taylor's innings of 101. The likes of Hales and Stokes did admittedly struggle to master the pitch but I thought that was more a case of them being out of touch. The expectation was at the 30 over mark (181-2) that we would get nearer 320-340.
That being the case I would have expected Taylor to score at much better than a run a ball. Just five boundaries in 114 balls is rather, dare I say, a la Trott or Cook but the proof of the pudding will be just how near Australia get to our total.
I blame James Taylor for this crushing win. His shocking, almost unconscionable century at a strike-rate of 90 completely failed to represent the sort of cricket England should have played on this pitch. I think he should be dropped forever. He's too short anyway.

There's nothing like a bit of "aftertiming" to lighten up the evening's proceedings.
So on reflection, Taylor's innings was a match winner. Having said that, the wicket definitely got harder to bat on as the match progressed.
All 3 games have been very similar. The team batting first appeared to have a decent, but beatable total. However, the team batting 2nd, although getting off to good starts, all fell away between 20-30 overs.

september climate, things get very cold later on and the pitch changes due to the dew.

I don't know how this game will go, but if I had to put my money down, it would be on Oz.
