The knight was okay but that Robin looked more like a sort of brown chicken. Where did they get that costume - the Asda Halloween £3 range?

I want the club to confirm that Floyd and Harvey won't be put down. The club should have the decency to fund their retirement in a specialist mascot home so they can see out their days with their own kind. The rumours of interest from the pet food industry are shocking.

Unless you're a young kid who gets something out of it; thus helping develop you're long term support of CAFC!

My daughter was unimpressed yesterday, particulalry with the knight. I pointed out that they were not aimed at her (she's 14, so is unimpressed by most things). And as if to prove my point loads of little kids rushed down with proud parents to get pictures taken at just that moment.
We sit in the Family Stand, but most of the kids around us are teenagers who are never going to like any mascot. Hopefully the knight symbolises the new combative spirit shown on the pitch ;)

Already confirmed that they are retiring to the Charlton Athletic Museum although they haven't turned up yet.

From where I was sitting the expression on Robin's face looked like he/she was being taken from behind by an elephant! Never got this mascot thing and these two are an embarrassment.

Don't get why we need 2, unless the pre game entertainment consists of Dick Dastardly style skits called Catch the Robin

one for the lickle kiddies and one for the macho knight riders .. he who would valiant be .. let him come hither

I think we should hunt them. Red replica shirts, real ale from the west stand, vuvuzelas instead of horns, riding on the back of mutant QPR fans, leaping over the fences of SE7, to be cornered and offered to Leicester City fans by way of a symbolic apology to all hunted foxes.

The Robin was drawn by a kid. A KID! What did you expect? Something by Constable or Turner?

I'm sure the Club paid a fair amount for that outfit. I'm sure you couldn't find it in any Asda bin.

And I'm sure that they could have made sure that the Robin was anatomically correct for you. Don't worry, I'm sure that the kid wouldn't have minded at all that the mascot didn't look anything like their drawing...

Some people are so far up their own arse it's incredible...

I think she had to guide the robin as he couldn't see properly. Maybe Delboy forgot to cut some eye holes in it when he sold us the costume. At least he let Jackson and Henderson borrow his van to deliver a ticket! You know it makes sense!

Thought that myself. Much easier on the eye than the mascots!

Do you not understand the difference between a kid winning a design competition and bringing that design to fruition? We all get that puppet/cartoon representations are not precisely correct but they are clever representations. And that design was a deserving winner but needed some gentle tweaking to take it into the realms of three dimensions.
In an age when Pixar makes incredible representations of various imaginary creatures, kids will be the harshest critics of anything not up to quite exacting standards. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

They were making their League debut, it was a very hot day.
The mascot squad is a bit thin with two old favourites
going on a free to the Museum.
Phil Chapple is in Paris Disneyland, expect a new signing before the window shuts.

This expression has made me weep!
I'm never going to look at the Robin again without thinking about this quote.

I think the club can turn this round and turn it into a saga shown on the big screen or as a photo cartoon strip in the programme. Floyd and Harvey have been captured by an evil museum curator and face a life behind glass. He has planted his equally evil Robin imposter and dark Knight to stop the kids complaining. The dark night can turn against the robin and Henry - sorry the curator (a bit like star wars) rescue Floyd and Harvey and leave the Robin with the curator. There could be a new episode every week. Just who will play the curator? :) Then we could have the knight , Floyd and Harvey as mascots and there is scope to rest one of the three for every game which will also give the opportunity for repairs. I'd happily write a script.

You won't be saying that when Hollywood buy the rights and Tom Hanks is playing the curator.

I doubt very much that Tom Hanks would agree to wearing a cardigan - even if for genuine artistic reasons.

    Oi!

I don't mid the cardie jokes, even though it was a zip up jumper, but I draw the line at socks and sandals. Never, never, never.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - socks and sandals are SO comfortable together.
Not that I'd wear them outside, obviously.

Perhaps you should base it around the new mascots when they are phased out and put in a glass case; you could call it Knight at the Museum.
