Have one out of three paid for- Told by the ticket office that they were posted last week but if they don't arrive by tomorrow I should call and they will post them again- first class!
So if they haven't already arrived why would I want them posted again.......where the hell are all the season tickets?........... Isn't this a bit of a waste of time and money ?...........why so late when we paid earlier than ever?...........Why would I want to spend my Wednesday afternoon on the phone again?............Who is responsible for this debacle and when are they going to apologise?
One last thing but have club employed an extra from the Harribo ads to produce their answerphone messages?
With all due respect the season doesn't start until Saturday and it's only Tuesday. There is, in reality, no need to receive your ticket before Friday. They have changed the system which will have caused some teething problems. Worst case scenario you need to get to the ground a little earlier on Saturday. It's not as though you're dying and waiting for life saving medication is it?
Also April is far from being the earliest ever. One year they demanded payment by Jan 31st.
What a crock of shit, you really are a knob.
Did you really flag my post as abuse just because you haven't received your season ticket and I refused to be angry with the club about it?
You are making yourself look very precious and rather spoiled. Does one not normally dare to inconvenience you?
The club say the tickets have been sent out. Are you calling them liars? If they sent out thousands at the same time there is every possibility that the Post Office might not have had the resources to deliver them all the next day. I doubt that many sorting offices have spare capacity for another ten thousand letters to be sent out in a week.
I made the observation that these tickets are not a matter of life or death and they are not even late yet - and you registered my comment as abuse.
I'm not going to engage in an argument with you because I can't be bothered and, frankly, I pity you and feel sorry for you that something so trivial has seen you get yourself so worked up.
Serious question, are you seven years old? I only ask because by the age of eight my son had stopped behaving like you seem to be over this.
Comment was on your totally inaccurate statement, (31st January lol) need to get your facts straight before making such a ridiculous comment. Not me being precious but suspect you well maybe.
So was the abuse flag for getting a date wrong?
Didn't realise I did sorry fat fingers I guess pressing quote button ask Admin to remove.
I just spoke to the club and asked them to re post mine.
I wasn't offered that, just told to pick up "the duplicate" from the ground either during this week or the North Stand ticket office from 1pm on Saturday.
From 1pm seems a little late to me. There will be a large queue formed at 1pm I reckon. The should be open from 10am to collect then people can go collect their tickets then go off for lunch/pub or whatever.

But the the Unions would be up in arms about people having to work early on a Saturday

I agree.
Things have clearly gone wrong and they are trying to rectify them.
I'm with KHA on most of this but I do think the club could have said more, given clearer guidance as soon as it was clear there was an issue and now that there is little time put more resources into resolving it. Opening before 1.00pm Sat and Thursday afternoon would be a start. A late night opening possibly on Friday too.
I know it's not me having to work longer hours and I'm sure the ticket office staff are tired and annoyed already, through no fault of their own, by having to deal with the roll out, the problems and the legitimate enquiries and complaints.
The post has arrived and no season ticket which wasn't unexpected after reading a lot of other people's problems. I have rung the club but obviously busy. After a long wait I got through and was told that my ticket would be reprinted and I could pick it up from 1pm at the North Stand Ticket Office on Saturday or before if I could get down to The Valley during this week. I wonder if the original was ever printed or sent out to the wrong address ?
I will go early on Saturday but I reckon there will be quite a queue down there. No apology from anyone though either as a club statement or from the person on the phone. Not the club's finest hour from a public relations point of view. Rather a case of taking your customers for granted.
This is what is annoying me most about this situation, can they not see that leaving it until 1pm on the day is asking for issues and further annoyance. Why cant they just allow you to collect from 10am giving people time to get the ticket and then carry on there normal pre match plans?
The cynic in me is thinking that they are hoping people will get the ticket and then go in and spend money in the ground/bartrams on drinks etc lol.

Do you think only non union workers work early on weekends?
I doubt very much there is a union there anyway apart fr the pfa and manager's one.
Season ticket not arrived, cannot get through to ticket office after 30 m on hold and cannot get to the club before Saturday. If there are any club employees reading this I would welcome a solution-as a season ticket holder for the past 30 years
Shambles, best hope all the season tickets are correctly linked up to let you in the stadium in the right turnstiles or this could get messy.. I sense a huge queue pre-3pm, people will be buying tickets also as walk-ups.
There is clearly a problem with their system which they have been covering up. The postal system in this country may not be perfect, but the numbers of people whose allegedly-posted ticket has not arrived (inc. me) is implausibly high. I don't believe mine can have ever been posted, in fact.
It's going to be chaos at 1pm on Saturday, they really need to think about an earlier start. Many, like me, live too far way to get down there before
Are the ticket office opening hours on Friday 9am - 5pm ? I'm wondering if it would be best to try and get across then.
yes, close at 5pm. I'm going to get over there on Friday as not going to leave it to chance on the day. Living on the South Coast though it a right pain in the arse. A club apology would be nice.

After contacting the club on Monday all 4 tickets were going to be sent to me, first class, in one envelope. Today (Wednesday), I received one and my mother 2. Hopefully the 4th has arrived at my daughter's address. So, we have 3 tickets (or 4, fingers crossed) - all for the wrong seats - but we are nearly there !!
It is a shambles and one the club must have known something about several weeks ago. They should have issued a statement then, preparing their customers for inevitable problems. Even now, an apology would be nice ! I guess they were/are hoping that, as individuals, we think we are the only ones experiencing a problem but the days of the Internet don't allow that.
What makes me laugh is that the club are still advertising for people to buy their season ticket now ready for Saturday, yet people who paid months ago are yet to receive theirs.
Wife has just got through and got me a duplicate ticket which I can collect from the building opposite the cash machine she ask from what time and was told they open at 10am
The club will be open from 10am on Saturday, they just don't open the collection point(s) until 1pm. Obviously there is a point where stuff gets moved across, but I can't see why they wouldn't give you your ticket if you turn up at the main ticket office before midday or possibly later. Even if they declined, a firm, polite refusal to shift is likely to be productive.
In terms of apologies, there is a clear policy that problems are not acknowledged generally unless absolutely necessary. That's consistently been the case and I guess one possible reason is that Roland probably doesn't read Charlton Life, but maybe does read the OS.
None of my three season tickets (one adult , two kids) have turned up yet, despite ordering them and paying for them in May. The only possible time I can get down to the ticket office to pick up duplicates before Saturday is tomorrow afternoon (Thursday).
I guess that's me f***ed then!
Common sense would suggest that if there are a lot of people in the same position they would extend opening hours for the next couple of days and open up a little earlier on Saturday.
Doesn't seem to be a lot of thought involved here. Where is the leadership? Who is in charge of ensuring minimum disruption for customers?
Ridiculously unprofessional - in fact amateurish in my opinion.
Things like this do happen (especially when a change of system is implemented) and I'm sure the majority of us understand this and will bear with it, but the communication and resolution of the issue has been ridiculously poor.
Katrien needs to either pull her finger out or get someone in who knows how to run a business.
Suggest anyone in this position who has last year's S/T brings it along on Saturday... as a last resort I will be showing that & demanding to be let in...

Probably stand more chance a print off or print screen of your season ticket confirmation e-mail if received. Or bank statement showing the money going out

My Dad and I have not received ours yet, just spent 45mins (!) on hold to the ticket office! I'm at work so had to hang up in the end.
Apparently people are being told to collect the replacement from the Valley on Thurs/Fri... unfortunately this isn't really an option when you live in Bedfordshire!
Complete shambles, and the lack of communication from the club is frankly staggering given the number of people it seems to be affecting.
Had to pick up my three as didn't arrive this morning. Reasonable queue problem with one of mine but solved by the staff.
They did lose a sale as one of the people in the queue wanted to buy a new season ticket but had to give up and go to work, hope he can find time to get one.
Whatever some people may think they simply shouldn't have left it this late, I paid for mine in March and still had to drive down to pick up as I simply won't have time on Saturday.
I know it is of no consolation to some, but I received my season ticket early last week. Why they have been sent out in different batches is strange. You would have thought that they would have sent them all out in one go, or at least over 2 or 3 consecutive days, and not over the course of a week and half.

Just hope the system copes when Saturday comes!
