So should I give him a 9 for having hardly anything to do?! I give everyone a 6 before the match, and work from there. His kicking drops it down to a 5, the save brings it back to a 6, and his catching crosses adds another half a point. If he made a second great save suddenly it's a 7.5, but as he was 'hardly troubled' he doesn't warrant a higher scoreredlanered said:

Watt - 8.5 completely changed the whole atmosphere when he came on, the team seemed to lift themselves and when he scored there was only one winner. Please stay fit.

Pope ... 8 ... Make a cracking save in the first half, two routine in the second, no sign of nerves

Bauer ... 8.5 ... Calm on the ball, gonna be a good signing and almost got a goal, is a good header of the ball
Diarra ... 7 ... Got a needless Yellow Card but that was likewise to when Shaun Bartlett got sent off against Spurs, did well having his experience at the back
Fox ... 7 ... Bit nervous to begin with and we saw a bit of the old poor Morgan Fox to begin with, great composure for the goal those
Gudmundsson ... 7.5 ... Like most wingers he drifted in and out of the game, on another day could have scored twice
Ba ... 8 ... Really liked his energy, felt that we lost our attacking threat when we went off
Kashi ... 9 ... Loved his work rate, popped up everywhere (MOTM)
Cousins ... 8 ... Along with Ba and Kashi you could call these the Three Amigos, they hunted in packs and worked well together breaking up play
Ahearne-Grant ... 6 ... Was tough for him playing against seasoned Defenders, did his best up front
Makienok ... 7 ... Helped out brilliantly in Defence, loved his step-over for the first goal, he wont score goals but he'll be involved in them, again loved his work rate
Watt ... 8.5 ... Great second half performance, topped off with a goal0 -

Diarra - 7.5, strong start, as if he was showing everyone what it was all about. Played well.
Fox - 7.5, didn't know he had a goal like that in him! Good sign that he had the confidence to take it on
Gudmundsson - 7.5, such a good player. Will be so important for us this season. Can do things others can't.
Ba - 6.5, did ok but seemed surprised by pace of the game at first. Got better, to be fair.
Kashi - 8.5 excellent début. Showed good leadership, constantly talking to team-mates and at one point went from taking a corner to virtually last man back in seconds when QPR broke away. Clearly has will to win.
Cousins - 7.5, was everywhere- great attitude. I would make him captain
Ahearne-Grant - 6, tried hard but just couldn't get into the game
Makienok - 6.5, bit of a strange one. Did some good things, some ordinary. Good assist for Watt's goal. Still no idea what he's like in front of goal.
Watt - 8
Bergdich N/a thought he looked quite handy in short time on. Useful squad player.

Luzon - 9. Good call using Watt as a sub where he had more of an impact against a ponderous QPR defence who couldn't handle him, and courage to make change at H-T. KAG won't be harmed for the experience either.
