    Pope 7.5
    Solly 7.5
    Bauer 8
    Diarra 8.5
    Fox 7.5
    Gud 7.5
    Ba 6.5
    Kashi 8
    Cousins 7.5
    Makienok 7.5

    Watt 8

  • Pope - 7.5 shaky start then composed himself after a few good saves, was comfortable taking the ball in the air.
Solly - 7.5 had a tough day up against a dirty but quality mackie but did well.
Bauer - 8 solid, composed, looks a great signing
Diarra - 7.5 shaky start but won everything in the air.
Fox - 8 not a massive fan myself but couldn't fault him today and classy finish if he meant it.
Gudmundsson - 8 all our creativity came through him, diamond in this league.
Ba - 7 not as good as in preseason but still solid.
Kashi - 9 MOM wow this guy is top class, battling everywhere, worked so hard and ran the tempo all game, could fast become a cult hero.
Cousins - 7 relatively quiet by his standards but still a good performance.
Ahearne-Grant - 6 little bit of the pace today but had a lot of balls in to feet instead of ones for him to run on to, no problem with him being our 3rd/4th choice striker.
Makienok - 7.5 won a lot in the air, works very hard and quicker than he looks, will be a nightmare for a lot of defenders in this league.
Watt - 8.5 just pipped to MOM by kashi but he changed the game, moments of quality and composure, love this guy.
    Berditch N/a 7 looked lively
Ceballos n/a 6.5 didn't have enough time to do much but looked keen to get involved.

Luzon - 9 got it spot on today against a side that have a lot of talent, really excited for this season and he is going to be pivotal.

Pope - 7 Competent one very good save

Solly - 7 Same old reliable Solly most of the time

Bauer - 7 Looks very solid and capable at the level on first sight

Diarra - 7 Assured performance apart from one occasion when he lost the ball!

Fox - 7 Exposed once defensively but assured otherwise and a sweet strike for his goal

Gudmundsson - 7 Some lovely turns and tracked back in support of Solly

Ba - 7 Dwelt on the ball too long and lost it early on offset by a beautifully weighted pass to send Solly on his way

Kashi - 7 Good work ethic eg supporting Fox and did the simple things well

Cousins - 7 Usual hardworking high energy performance. Physically stronger too.

Ahearne-Grant - 6 Didn't quite work for him today although he kept trying to make himself available with runs off the ball.

Makienok - 7 Not the most mobile but put himself about both in attack and defensively. A players' player rather than a fans' player I fancy.

Watt - 7.5 Changed the game and frightened the QPR defence when he came on hence my man of the match today.

Pope - 7 don't under-estimate the 1st half save, that ball was swerving like mad I was right in line with it
Solly - 7 solid as usual
Bauer - 8 very impressive commanding CB able to lead the defensive line
Diarra - 7 can see why he was picked at CB with so many youngsters around him. Excellent leadership.
Fox - 7.5 shaky to start with but improved as the game went on. Extra 0.5 for the goal
Gudmundsson - 7 was always a threat and unlucky not to score
Ba - 7 won his fair share of tackles in the middle. Surprised to see low ratings for him.
Kashi - 8 everywhere, won plenty of tackles, hoping he can keep that work rate up over the whole season
Cousins - 7 liked how he cut into the middle when Fox went forward down the left side. Still did a steady job out wide.
    Ahearne-Grant - 6 little impact
Makienok - 7 made his presence felt and will be a handful for most defences
Watt - 8.5 MOM a threat the moment he came on he made the difference. Extra 0.5 for the goal

Pope -8 Did nothing wrong, caught every cross and made 2 top saves
    Solly - 7.5 Typical Solly
    Bauer - 8 Solid
Diarra - 8 Excellent on the ball, great communication with Bauer
Fox - 8 Solid defensive performance, +1 for great goal
Gudmundsson - 7 A little anonymous at times, but looked to be trying things. Great freekick
Ba - 6 A little erratic and got caught in possession a few times. Fought well for the ball and improved 2nd half
Kashi - 9 My new favourite player, comfortable on the ball, had a great engine and always made himself available
Cousins - 8 The performance we now expect from cousins
    Ahearne-Grant - 6 Didn't really make an impact
Makienok - 7 Used his strength a bit, won a lot of defensive headers, not so many attacking ones
Watt - 9 Made us so much more of a threat going forwards

Pope - 8 looked a different keeper. QPR fans saying he was the reason they didn't go 2-0 up.

Solly - 7 just another solly performance
    solid

    Bauer - 8 looks a real acquisition

Diarra - 7 a player with great pedigree and expirence he will be a real asset in the side this season played well

    Fox - 7 wiggins who?

Gudmundsson - 7 best winger in the championship

Ba - 6 did ok I know he is a very highly rated player and will fit our team very well give him a few more games he will shine.

Kashi - 9 his here his there his every fooking where kashi kashi. Great engine we have missed a player like him

Cousins - 8 one of our own Jordan cousins his one of our own. Respect for signing a new contract with us. A true Charlton academy product who will be a legend at this club. Run his socks off.

Ahearne-Grant - 6 he is still only 17 going to be a great player

Makienok - 6 should of won more headers for such a big man but still adjusting to the English game I guess

Watt - 8 premier league qualities will be our top scorer this season. Game changing player that will scare teams this season. Tony watt watt watt

Pope - 7.5 a little unsure early on, but that stunning save gave him deserved confidence
Solly - 7.5 good battle with Mackie, lost him a couple of times, but edged it overall
Bauer - 8 had to let Austin out of his back pocket to be substituted
Diarra - 8 calm, collected and a real leader
Fox - 8 followed my advice to "have a crack" delighted for him & a solid game too
Gudmundsson - 8 some excellent play throughout, but even better as game went on
Ba - 7 caught a few times & a little shaky. Big improvement in 2nd half
Kashi - 9 what a freakin' engine this guy has. Everywhere & excellent!
Cousins - 8 like a rash, all over any QPHa player with the ball.
Ahearne-Grant - 7 some nice control touches. Tough game to get thrown in, but did well
Makienok - 7.5 seemed to work better with Watt. Best moment was intelligent step-over for ball to go through to Watt for first goal
Watt - 8.5 Class above. Worried when he didn't start, but you could feel the lift he gave the crowd & the team when he came on.

Berditch N/a quite impressed with his cameo appearance (that doesn't refer to a codpiece music fans). Some good touches and seemed to like to get involved & stuck in, but with a good bit of skill thrown in.

Pope - 8 gives me the willies but had an excellent game

Solly - 7. Has been at "bad guy" classes over the summer. Solid as always but now with an edge. Could easily have got himself into trouble.

Bauer - 7.5. Looks solid. I'll need a couple of games before I form a real judgement. Should have done better with a free header at 1-0.

Diarra - 8. Thought he was terrific. -1 for that tackle!

Fox - 8. Gives me the willies defensively but couldn't ask for much more today. Developing into a solid if unremarkable player.

Gudmundsson - 8. Quiet moments but when he comes alive he's dynamite.

Ba - 6. Dreadful first. 20 minutes. Way too long on the ball but got better. A work in progress. Suspect he won't play when bergdych gets up to speed on the left but will be a good squad player.

Kashi - 9 MOTM. Like Buyens but with attitude and application. Wonder if he can take penalties?

Cousins - 7. Didn't notice him first half, better second. NB Guy- he's not a left winger. Gottit? Good man.

Ahearne-Grant - 5. Out of his depth I'm afraid. Needs to be handled carefully as there is a player in there.

Makienok - 7.5. He's got something. Won't win any elegance competitions but a useful addition. Lovely dummy for watts goal.

Watt - 8.5. Game changer. Pure and simple. Looks unfit and hopefully the indiscretion which led to the first half on the bench was a small one and isn't repeated.

Berditch N/a - looked mustard on the evidence if his 10 mins. Look forward to seeing a full game.

  • Pope - 7 Well done Popey! Hopefully, has dispelled some of the concerns that supporters have for him. Very assured performance.

Solly - 7 Excellent first half, and was heading for a MOTM performance. Got a bit caught up with his battle with Mackie in the second half, and dived in a few times, leaving us a bit exposed at the back.

Bauer - 7.5 A big unit that won his headers, and refused to be intimidated. Very solid looking partnership with Diarra.

Diarra - 8 The best of a very good looking defence. Can not underestimate the importance of his quality passing when on the ball. An excellent leader, too.

Fox - 7.5 Shows what can happen when a young player is given support by his gaffer. Looked confident and relaxed. Sure, some of his passing was off in the first half, but that will improve. Extra 0.5 for an early Goal of the Season contender.

Gudmundsson - 7 I thought he was a little quieter than normal. Still, the main creative spark in the side. Looked a little behind the rest of the midfield in terms of fitness, but that will get better. Outstanding free kick late on.

Ba - 6.5 Was our best player during the preseason games I saw, but I think he was caught out early on by the pace of his first true competitive game. Got the hang of the game later on, and the harrying of QPR's players by him, Jordan and Kashi was excellent. I am expecting him to improve as he adjusts to the Championship.

Kashi - 9 MOTM Ah! Where to start? Great scouting by Luzon to pick out this guy. A few points. Never walks ANYWHERE. Passes and RUNS to his next position. Keeps the passes simple, and leaves the clever stuff to his more flamboyant team mates. Was there ever a point where he was not available to his teammates? Great hunger, as shown in the first half with a lung busting, 80 yard track back from a Charlton corner. Cajols, moans, shouts at his teammates, telling them what to do. Had some choice words (probably in French) for Fox late in the first half, telling him to slow down. An engine which means he was covering as much ground in the 94th minute as he was in the 1st. An outstanding debut...

Cousins - 7.5 Sometimes, I have to do a double take to make sure that it was Jordan who had made that tackle/broke up that attack. He covers so much ground! The affect of the 3 midfield enforcers gang tackling all that came at them can not be underestimated. He's one of our own, and very glad of it I am, too.

Ahearne-Grant - 6 Looked a little lost at times, but very young, and an outstanding talent. Needed to get a bit closer to Big Mak, to play off the giant Dane's strength.

Makienok - 7.5 I thought he was excellent. Showed a physicality that has been lacking in the side. There is a lot more to his game, than just headers, as shown by the step over for the first goal. Not afraid of doing the dirty work either, as shown by the number of times he cleared QPR corners. Very promising.

Watt - 7.5 Not a bad score for someone who only played 45 minutes! QPR could not cope with 'Twinkletoes'' sublime ball control. I don't suppose that he is the best trainer in the club, or that he may get the sulks from time to time, but comes alive when in a competitive environment. Worth the entrance fee, and will put bums on seats. A legend in the making...

Pope - 7.5 Very good neutralising their corners
Solly - 7 Solid performance with an excellent block in the second half
Bauer - 7.5 Very good debut with him and Diarra working well
Diarra - 8 Looked real class today and loved the cynical foul on Mackie
Fox - 7.5 Not a bad way to get your first goal. Defended well too
Gudmundsson - 7.5 Everything we did well went through him in the first half. Classiest player on the pitch
Ba - 6 Bit of a dodgy start but grew into it. He'll get better as he gets more matched under him
    Kashi - 8 Didn't put a foot wrong
Cousins - 7.5 Done well considering he was playing left mid and helped Fox when defending
Ahearne-Grant - 5.5 Bit lightweight but done okay when he got he service that suited him
Makienok - 6.5 Much better second half
Watt - 9 The game changer who looked a threat everytime he ran at the defence

Pope - 7. Solid. Good save 1st half. Hope he doesn't let next mistake play on his mind for as long as the last.
Solly - 7. Solly worries me slightly in the 'big' games. Seems to get overexcited at times instead of his usual calm self.
Bauer - 8. Brilliant display on Champ debut.
Diarra - 7. Solid and experienced. Concerned about facing a team with quick attackers.
Fox - 7. Good Game, pleased he got his goal.
Gudmundsson - 6.5 Some nice touches and got involved.
Ba - 7. Looks comfortable on ball. Should release it earlier at times.
Kashi - 8.5. Everywhere on the pitch, wanted to be involved in everything. Corners, free kicks. Like to keep the ball moving.
Cousins - 7. Usual Cousins, great energy.
Ahearne-Grant - 6. A little anonymous, was unfortunate that it took us so long to get into the game
Makienok - 7. Hard working, lots of donkey work.
Watt - 8. Unplayable when hungry, shows an arrogance that top players have.
