Agree "Interesting team sheet was Charlton's. Sounded like roll call in a Syrian refugee camp." in particular.

Well being Rotherham, and being in Yorkshire, I'd estimate around the 19th century mark

Yeah, the stupid arses can't recognise that Makienok-Christofferson is Danish and Vetokele is Angolan. How far from Syria do you want to be?
Mind you, one of the number describes the supporters that threw bottles as Neanderthals. That's being generous.

Big Mak was everything you'd want from a 6ft8 forward, bullish, strong, good in the air and intellegent, was superb yesterday was so fired up for that game, must admit I wasn't his biggest fan.

To me it just shows he can do it if he is up for it. How does Riga get him up for it more often?

Bloody good strike for the first goal, top notch. It's also good to see him winding up the oppo players and fans, a while since we've had a forward do that and follow up with a goal.

Confidence is a huge thing and the improvement of Fox, Bergdich and now Big Mak under Jose shows the importance of a proper manager, pity it has take dear Katrien so long to realise.
  • Just keep you hands away from your ears mate - let your football do the talking.
Hands behind cupped ears never ends well - take my word for it.

If the crowd are giving it then he has every right to give it back. Well done Mak

Don't blame him. Superb performance. The best i've seen since Yann.
    Well done big Mak.

Absolute master class from the big man yesterday. Not just his goals but his contribution to defending set pieces is absolutely vital.

Something we have sorely missed since SuperYann left the building :disappointed:

Even claiming the place as Rotherham is being generous as they're a lot closer to Sheffield than I realised.

    The Croydon equivalent of London?

Mak has been given pelters by some of our alledged supporters some understandable given his lack of form, I felt after his last few games that perhaps he not good enough, but what is totally unacceptable is booing a player when his name is called or he is waiting to come on to the pitch, I bet those who have been doing this are the same lowlife scum who did the same to David Mooney.
Well done Mak for the brace and giving it back to the boo boys, who no doubt are bitching and moaning about it!

To be fair to Rotherham fans, they do call their cohorts out for some of the more backward comments.
  • No way should he have been sent off for his goal celebration!!... Had he gone into the Rotherham crowd then fair enough but he'd be stupid to have done so

Do you think it was Katrien's decision?

Yes like the twit on An another forum moaning about water Pope squirted at him after the Bromley match. Brilliant!

  • A lack of confidence can make a good player look a bad player. Riga recognises that and has a wonderful knack of giving players their confidence back. There have been numerous examples of this during his first spell and now. There have been no examples of players losing their confidence under Riga.

Sounds as if Simon Makienok had his own Paul Gascoigne-Vinnie Jones moment with Rotherham's Kirk Broadfoot on Saturday. #cafc

I bet after the game Broadfoot still felt a dick.
  • Makienok has endured endless taunts from some of our 'fans' - if he did respond to them I wouldn't have a problem. Whatever his limitations are he's kept going and I'm happy for him to have a good game.

Makes me laugh what delicate flowers some of our fans are.

Good on him for giving it the 'cupped ear' to our lot after some of the flak he's been getting, pretty inoffensive gesture really, but makes the point. Would have loved to have seen more of him celebrating in front of the Rotherham fans in the highlights by the way - sounded like they had the raging!
  • Remember Simon Church doing the cupped ear to the North Stand after scoring against Oxford in the League Cup two seasons ago... It went into meltdown on here with some who found it terribly offensive

He loves a cupped ear 'can't hear you ' celebration does Mak.
Imagine he will lose his shit if he scores in front of the covered end on Saturday.
