I watched it from home but your thoughts echo mine. There was some excellent movement from him, some decent hold up play and he delivered an absolute peach of a cross to save the game.soapboxsam said:I'm amazed at these comments.
Who do you think was the person in the 1st half who kept running into space behind their defense. plus in the second had a shot blocked.
I know the sun was in your eyes ?
Forgot most of you watched it from home.
So you would missed the running he did off the ball as well.
as he was 18 last month the kid is doing great.
Never mind the sun, I think half our fans have shit in their eyes.
The expectations people have of our kids is ridiculous sometimes. He's 17 ffs and more than held his own today.15 -
He has improved a lot since his run in the team this time last season, a goal and an assist in the last two games i really don't see how anyone can be dissappointed in his performance today.6
-
considering his age and limited 1st team experience I was impressed with his contribution this afternoon1
-
Pleased you saw it the same us me and a few others.Exiled_Addick said:

To put a cross in after 96 minutes, right on the head of a player was great.
Conor Mcaleny joins a every growing list of CAFC players who miss
1 on 1's with just the keeper to beat. ( what a difference scoring in the 1st minute could've made.
Igor at least 4, (the Cardiff miss last season) JBG when the defender slipped.
Ba today, Bradley Wright Phillips missed 3 in one game. Tucadean on a couple of occasions when sent clear. When was the last time we beat the off side trap and ran on to score ?

I recall Church slotting a one on one two seasons ago against some team that ended up relegated1
-
He is getting better game by game1
-
As Church only scored 5 league goals, why am i struggling to remember ?
Was it home or away ? or against Neighbours ?
A Dale Stephen's pass from two seasons ago, away ?0 -
I think he is quite limited and I can't see him becoming a top player, but he is definitely getting better.0
-
improving with experience. excellent movement in the front line. made some very good runs into the channels and an excellent cross on the equaliser. worked hard throughout the 90 mins. needs more composure inside the box. His finish at Cardiff suggests he will get there.....
.....and then he will be sold on for £3.5 mill.7 -
He's getting better the more minutes he has on the pitch.
He seemed to be running the channels and in behind more than in previous games, and gave the centre backs a bit more to think about as a result.
He could do with making decisions a bit quicker and gambling on crosses coming into the box but I expect that will come as he picks up more experience.3 - Sponsored links:

I think the lad played well, to step into the championship and hold his own is no mean feat. Cracking cross for cousins to head home, Took his goal well last week too.3

Played well today and looked the part. Leave him alone.8

From his very quiet display against QPR to yesterday he is a player improving every game. I thought he did well at Palace in the second half and has got himself 3 goals this season.
I wasn't sure his was ready this season at the start but now am keen to see more of him in the first team.1 -
I also can't understand the criticism.
Great pace and movement and a reasonable amount of skill.
All he lacks is experience which, in an ideal, world I'd like to see him get from a 6 month loan in League 1.3 -
decision making is poor he lacks composure and is very raw but has great promise, pace and skill who will only get better. He will definitely benefit from a loan spell once all our forwards are back.
I don't understand the comments on here either. He was slap bang average (did some good things and also did some not so good things) which considering his age and experience he is in a very good place right now0 -
Ok, ok. Looks like I was in a minority of one! I'm not one to have a pop at the youngsters but I just didn't see it the same way as everyone else yesterday. Very happy to bow to the majority view on this. I take back my (mild) criticism and will watch him rom a different perspective next time. I think maybe I was expecting more of a "play on the shoulder of the last defender" type performance with him being the poacher in the box - rather than running the channels so much.Davo55 said:
But that was all he did all game. I was disappointed in him.Mendonca In Asdas said:Watched the goal by Cousins today on sky sports, peach of a cross from KAG.
Having seen it again on tv, what a peach of a cross for Jordan's header. Wow!0 -
Have no idea how good he will be but hope he continues to develop.0
-
Noticed a few times that he got into space but other players - even Solly and Cousins - seemed reluctant to pass to him and he understandably got frustrated. Also had a few contretemps with TWWW but hopefully just in heat of game as they walked off chatting together at the end.
He has great potential for an 18 year old, but as with a lot of the younger, more temperamental players in the team, he needs good management and coaching. I hope he has less difficulty understanding what Luzon says than I do.1 -
I think he's really developing, hope he gets a lot more minutes.0

He was unlucky not to bury that shot where he was on the turn.
He just belted, experience learned I hope and next time a low drive may reap more reward.0 -
exactly, all you can ask of them at that age is to not look out of place, and he already looks like a decent championship striker imo.Todds_right_hook said:decision making is poor he lacks composure and is very raw but has great promise, pace and skill who will only get better. Crazy... Never realised that Karlan is actually our joint top scorer this season with Watt0 -

I thought it was his best game so far. He just needs to improve his finishing/final pass.1 -
This lad definitely has potential, but he is just 18 ffs, how many of us who actually played the game at a decent standard, stepped up from u18 football to the mens game found the transition easy? Personally I had a rude awakening and it was a steep learning curve. The boy will come come good, quicker then Sheff Utd, trust me5

He put in so much more effort than Tony Watt did. Our fans are ridiculous. His off the ball movement was superb and that cross at the end... To cross it first time was superb. He's playing well but unfortunately I can see him being treated the same as Harriott by our impatient fans.0
-
Stick him RW with Gudmundsson LW0
-
Only thing i'd say about him is he was dropping way too deep but then so was Watt! I'd like to see him in the box more as Watt is better at dropping deep.0

From their comments, it seems many fans just follow the ball during the game.
Maybe they missed seeing KAG cross the ball for the equaliser - and all they remember
is KAG not getting to Watt's driven cross across the face of the goal.
They'll judge him on that.

KAG in my opinion had a better game than TW. People saying Watt didn't work hard though are mad, he just needs to sort those fitness levels.0
