  • First time I've watched this series and all I kept thinking throughout the episode is that the blonde doris looked like Pamela Landy from the Bourne Trilogy. And I'd quite like to do her. Even when she cried. And apologised.

I knew she reminded me of someone! Thank you!
  • I like Charlene. Norven girl done good.

    Also quite fit

Can we have a picture of Charlene I don't watch the series
  • Some iconic fruit.

Personally quite like Charlene. Very welsh admittedly, but honest straight forward and doesn't try to pretend she's something she isn't.
  • Probably the weakest bunch of candidates in the history of the programme. No one stands out at all as a really strong or capable prospect.
  • those crisps looked delicious.
  • How is that Gary still in it?! I'd have kept Brett over him

I wonder if the twist this year is that there won't actually be a winner. There's one guy I can see getting it - Richard? - but on the whole nobody appears to have any real credibility.

Yeh I find him quite annoying, but he is the only one that can win you'd think. The rest are complete buffoons.
  • This lot are so bad ... still think it will be Yana but Richard may get it.

Can't believe Charlene and Gary are still there ... just shows how bad the rest were.

Now that would be the correct result.
  • Not sure how Vana got away with putting a gallon of oil into each bag of "crisps" last night.

Charlene was very poor last night but overall has been one of the better ones. I think Sugar tossed a coin between Brett and Gary and he'll be next out the door unless his business plan stacks up.

She gets wound up too quickly and easily for my liking ... can't see her being that good in a pressurised environment.

The programme is about entertainment. It makes us feel good to see all these hopeless candidates who think they are so clever make a mess of things. And the editing is brutal I’m sure, which doesn’t help them. The prize for the winner is more likely to be a spot on celebrity big brother than a successful business. It’s like the useless singers we see in the X Factor auditions. Most decent singers don’t get to perform for the judges, they are weeded out, so the judges see the very best and the very worst. SO when Simon Cowell moans about the quality the judges are seeing, it is his format he is moaning about! I enjoy watching the apprentice though, but I am getting fed up with the editing trying to make you think the team that loses is going to win. It has got so blatant that you now know the outcome – the ones that look the most useless will win!! But it is pretty pointless trying to identify which one of the candidates, selected for their limitations, has the fewest limitations. Also, can’t stand Karen Brady who has aligned her career to a couple of porn barons. I am more impressed with business people who have got to the top in other ways.

Yes, she is not my favourite viewing.
  • The change in prize from job to investment really took something away from the format imo. It always was something of a game show, but at least you felt like the performance on the tasks and the way the players conducted themselves was key to how successful they are. Obviously if you behave like enough of a c*** you'll likely still get fired even if your business plan is a working cold fusion reactor, but there is now always a nagging sense that they know the business plans so know who they want to make it through and will do their best to get them to the final, even if they repeatedly eff up up on what, lets face it, are often pretty irrelevant 'tasks'.

Really, there are lots of things that annoy me about the show, but the bottom line is just enjoy laughing at them all making a tit of themselves. It's probably a bit cruel on my part, but there you have it, and its great entertainment and not to be taken too seriously.

I'm kind of sad Brett has gone though because he seemed like a thoroughly decent fella and his one man destruction of the English language was very amusing.
  • Well - the latest selection of the most promising innovative entrepreuners came up with -

A hairdressing salon with some training.
    A mobile disco
A marketing company hats already going
A dating app / game app
A plumbing franchise - the franchise bit has been thrown out already - so basically a plan to extend an existing business

    Startling innovation and entrepreneurship.

The dating app was the only one that sounded decent (although the marketing plan sounded plausible after he cut out the nonsense) but she's going to need way, way more than £250k to get it off the ground.
  • . plumbing there is money to be made but the market is saturated atm, glad hes giving him a chance though as hes not from the business world.

  • I like Joseph. He speaks sense

He also is such a refreshing change from listening to the absolute waffle and management bollock speak that most of them vomit out of their cock-holes

The only down to earth candidate left, Carter.

    Hope he wins .

  • There will be all sorts of trouble if Joseph wins because he was invited to attend the show by Lord Sugar.

He is a decent candidate though. Not the brightest button but he is good with people and clearly passionate about what he does and about making money

Not sure what has given you that idea. Definitley brighter than the other finalist who put in 150g of oil to make crisps.
  • The business plans were all pathetic ... Joseph stands out as a bloody hard worker but may be too young to get the win. Vana has proved herself but I can't see Sugar going for her proposed business.

The right two got through, best of a bad bunch.
  • The general weakness of the business plans again highlights why the show worked much better when the 'prize' was a job not an investment.

Lets face it, if I you had a truly revolutionary, potentially massively profitable business idea and you were a competent person and not a cretin or sociopath, you wouldn't need to go on the apprentice to find a backer. At the very least you could go Dragon's Den, but even then that seems a slightly desperate way to find investment.

I suspect he would hire Joseph tomorrow, possibly the welsh bird as well, but not sure how excited he is by the business idea.
  • Vana will win it surely? If that idea works then it could be big money and Sugar says he likes a gamble. Will be playing it safe if he goes with Joseph.
  • still think the interactive mobile disco would have made Sir Alan at least £16.50 pure profit.

He's gone on for about 10 weeks about how he has left his high flying job at one of the UK's biggest retailers, because he believes in his new business. He has a family but believes in his new venture so much he is willing to risk his family's financial security.

And its a west midlands mobile disco business!!
