Seem to remember that we never got great updates on the Darren Bent / Mark Fish injuries for example...
Do think there are too many people on here expect too much communication from these owners and when they dont get it, its just another stick to strike the owners with
But an injury question can be answered by the manager, not the owners, surely he speaks to his medical staff.
"We are currently awaiting (scan/operation/swelling to go down), so we will see the results of that, before we can understand the full extent of the injury, and put a rough date on it"
Is better than "He's injured"
Not asking for the full breakdown of the players recuperation schedule and what GL Mrs had for breakfast that morning.
Some do mate. This was Martinez, which was on the OS. Managers do provide updates. GL does on a Thursday, but for some reason Igor & Ahmed never seem to be mentioned...
"Mo picked up the injury against Swindon in the first game and is recovering really, really well. He is a player with a lot of power and a player who I expect to be fit just after the start of the campaign. I think he will miss the opening game but after that he will be close to a return.”
Martinez continued: “Aiden was carrying the little hamstring problem that affected him from the international game and he’s been carrying that niggle for a while. He has had a good week while we’ve been in Scotland and he’s getting to the root of the problem. We are quite confident that in the next two to three weeks he will show a good reaction to the treatment he’s been having."
Not trying to make excuses... Just genuinely what I believe, trouble is with Premier League clubs, they always get the media attention so get the questions about various injuries
Here's a fairly comprehensive update on the Rotherham website which I found by googling "steve evans injury update". I'm sure it would be possible with all other managers/clubs.

Fair enough that is a very good way to describe their injuries and give updates on the players

I'd tend to agree with you were it not for the section on injuries in the programme - either make it comprehensive or scrap it. Promulgating info on some crocked players but not others makes no sense.
Ahmed Kashi is struggling with a heel problem. He’s seeing a specialist on Wednesday afternoon to determine how quickly we can get him back without having any further reactions. We’re trying to get to the bottom of the injury, but we’re hoping to have him back sooner rather than later. So none of the injured will be fit to start on Saturday. Striking thing is that Makionek has already played more games than he did last season. Incredible that the Management thought he would manage 50 games this season with no back up.

Thankfully T Watt wasn't on the list - presumably his condition fro the last 20 minutes of the game last night was due to a combination of exhaustion/not being fit enough to last 90 minutes/something in his head.
I can remember a time when we had a shortage of left backs and had to play right backs in that position - at least we have solved that problem! (Comment for those desperately searching for a silver lining).
"He's seeing a specialist on Wednesday". He's already been out for a month, what have they been doing with him? Do Charlton players have to go on the NHS waiting list now?

They didn't say he was seeing him for the first time did they?
Three of our summer signings have spent a LONG time injured, as has Reza .. it's been suggested that we got them on the cheap as they were known to be crocks, not to say crooks .. IF IF it is ever proven that any player has gone on 'strike' or a go slow because of differences with the management or ownership at CAFC, I would hope that their salaries would not be paid for the duration of their absence .. no matter what the situation at a club or what personal animosity a player feels against his employer, he is well paid to play, not to sulk and refuse to play .. in the modern idiom ..'I'm just saying' IF IF that were the case. We need motivated players to help us out of this mess and not 5th rate prima donnas .. NOTE .. Henderson is one who I would not have any doubts about
He had an operation now but it was cancelled? Don't understand why the club can't tell us the effing truth. You should know within days the extent of the injury and circa how long it should see you out for.
Beyond parody. I hope he's done a runner, it'd be better for his career.

Also Fraeye said that because the operation was cancelled that he'll be back soon. Weird.
And why is Igor so, so far away from fitness? Even stranger.
Fraeye also appeared to suggest that he'll still be our 'interim' manager beyond the international break.

Is Ahmed and Igor that badly injured, no date of a return to training can be estimated
