  • I think his second tweet is sort of saying 'Now I've said that its off, it will probably happen'. So I read it as the deal is off. I think.
  • and back again?

@Wheelerl97 As things stand the deal is off.

  • Worse than the head coach excitement on Wednesday!
  • Nothing surprises me in relation to Charlton anymore.

If Roland and Katrien had any sense they'd bring him back.

He's better than our current crop of strikers, send them paintballing or something to make up if they've fallen out amongst themselves.

But it leaves a £2M hole in Katrien's sales target.
    Bye bye, Ade.

He's definitely covering his options !

Is that called Journalism or Guessingism ?
  • If Cardiff don't have him then I am sure another Champ team will come in for him.

I hope we can't shift him, his contract runs out and that circus running the club don't see a penny.
  • Keep lookman and sell watt, or watt back and lookman go to a big prem club?

I suspect that douchebag will do what ever generates the most money. So probably both.

Doesn't watt have a couple of years left at least?

Keep Watt, give Reza a free, give Pigott a free, Sell Lookman but loan him back for this season (at no cost to CAFC), send KAG out on loan; quids in and best options.

I'd take Watt back without question. But as others have said, only if he is prepared to roll his sleeves up and not act like a spoilt brat. He has defiantly got the talent, but will end up wasting it and becoming a journeyman footballer who will run out of clubs by the time he's 30.

Depends the sale price and if we were getting Lookman back on loan.
  • Absolutely no reason we shouldn't want to keep Watt and Lookman. Watt has two-and-a-half years left on his contract ffs, and 'sulking' or not, he's FAR more use to us than Vaz Te or any of our other strikers. We should bring him back and get Lookman on a new deal as quickly as possible. While we're making radical suggestions, we should probably try and stay up this season as well...

Not that I think any of that will happen obviously...

If Watt stays cue Colin praising Riga for better peace keeping than the UN.
  • The funny thing is if the deal is off from Cardiffs end (of which it would be as CAFC are trying to push it through), the Club would spin the wheel again and put praise on Watt's stats and how we have desire to get out of this predicament so want all the strength possible and it's a sign of intent from the owner..

And will scupper any incoming deals even if Lookman is sold.

Still expect Watt to be sold though.

Long as the end result was TW back playing I could stomach it...

If it falls through they will probably just loan him out. Who needs goals?
  • Cardiff saying deal off, but loan could be extended..Sounds like Slade for the sack, and maybe they want more time to judge him.

Keep Watt - we are better with him than without him.
Lookman won't go anywhere - nobody is going to buy a youth player who is a 6 game wonder in the Jan window.
    Reza - useless, get rid
    Mak - useless get rid
Piggot - why not give him another try, is he worse than KAG ?

The £2m whole in the finances is nothing compared to the revenue drop if we are relegated.
  • Cardiff probably realise we are desperate to get rid and get money in. Could it be they are trying to get us to lower the price ?

Riga included piggot a few times in his match day squad a few times I seem to remember. I've always thought he had the makings of a decent player, but in all honesty he's league 1 or 2 at best. Perfect for next season and the season after.

"We are hearing Tony Watt permanent deal may well be off but loan could be extended.

Hoping to get it cleared up very shortly"
