Diarra - 6: unable to exercise any control in midfield, although he didn't have any real support. Failed to push out and catch Ipswich offside for the first goal. Cousins - 5: lots of energy but no end product. Needs to be much more careful with the ball. Holmes-Dennis - 7: did very well and looks a player. Berg Gudmundsson - 6: demonstrated his usual good touch and control but was crowded out and unable to hurt Ipswich. As you'd expect, McCarthy and his team had done their homework. I agree with a lot of what you're saying about Makienok, the amount he was getting fouled with constantly being held as well was a joke.
Yes he was poor yesterday, it happens to everyone, but some of the stick he is getting on here is unbelievable, the same people who were saying how much we need Makienok are saying how he is a pathetic excuse of a striker etc.
