Very good interview. I trust Riga, like I trusted Powell.

He says he came back, because he has an affinity with Charlton and their fans.

He didn't come back for Roland.

I like the bloke and I wish him every success.

Support Riga and the team. Not the regime (RD & KM).

Agreed, and he didn't sound well. It has obviously been a hectic week for him. Negotiating with Roland is enough to stress anyone out.

I like Riga but have serious questions about any manager prepared to work under RD, especially when he has been treated poorly by him in the past. The whole regime is broken and unfortunately this very much includes Riga imo, however nice a chap he might be.

I thought he sounded ill too. Was trying to make up my mind whether he actually has some kind of throat problem or whether it was because he was screaming from the sidelines for 90 minutes.

We can all understand that, mate...

he was trying to say the easiest thing to do would be to hide in a laundry basket, or bog off to St Trinians, but I'm not like that.

Well at last we've got someone who at least sounds like a manager. Shame they didn't get him in when he became available before these soul destroying last 3 defeats. Big ask to pick up the club this time. Need 4 decent new players to stand a chance imho.

    'i've never been relegated'
So. what happened at Blackpool then ?!

He didn't take Blackpool down. Lee Clark had 32 games to 'save' them, but failed.

I think he left before they were relegated though didn't he?

Long before. Riga was sacked in the October after 14 games.

    Worth a read.
