Three things he said he would do.
Build a wall on the Southern Border.
    Blanket ban on Muslims.
    Stick Clinton in jail.
    Hmmm.

He'll fit in well with the last one then - http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-broken/

    They're all full of shit.
Unfortunately for Obama the way the congress was whilst he was in power he was never going to be able to achieve what he wanted. A lot of the time things were blocked out of spite just because he was a Democrat. That's how it seemed from the outside anyway. Petty twats.
Correct. They prevented him from banning mentality ill people from owning assault rifle. I wonder what he could have achieved. I think Obamacare will be scrapped as soon as Trump can do so.
At the moment the US health industry needs Obamacare, or something similar to it. Unless they start charging for ER/A&E treatment, which they can't currently legally do.

The issue was, and would be with Obamacare, that far too many people don't have and can't afford health insurance. So they don't go to the doctors, if it's serious enough they'll just go to the ER. This obviously costs a lot for the hospital, so treatment costs go up for insured patients, meaning insurance goes up, fewer people can afford it and more then go to ER. Obamacare actually broke this cycle by getting a lot more people insured, it therefore propped up a health care system that was in terminal trouble.

So the only options available to the healthcare industry are keep Obamacare, replace it with something similar to get people paying insurance premiums, or end free ER treatment. The last would be politically difficult and could quite possible spark riots.

The US healthcare system is a mess, it costs $1800 per tax payer per year to prop it up, and for that you get ER coverage only, everything else requires insurance. Compare it to the NHS, which we are told by tories is terrible. It costs $1200 per tax payer per year, and for that everybody gets full health care coverage. The NHS is always held up as being inefficient, so if a country with no single payer system in place wanted to set up a brand new health service, with efficiency as one of the goals then they could conceivably do it for half the price American tax payers are currently paying to not really have a health care system.
  • Where you getting the quote "lied" from anyway?

I took "full of shit" and "promise broken" and combined them but shouldn't have put that in quotes.

Thinks it's alright to be racist if you're really passionate about it, which I would argue is the scariest type of racism.

Forget politics, forget views on immigration or the people who have been left behind, forget left or right, forget revolution, forget the little man speaking, forget working-class, middle-class, upper-class, under-class, forget democracy, forget totalitarianism and so on ......

Remember, Trump is a liar and cheat, a business failure, a chancer who took his moment, an altogether despicable individual. He's in it for the little man queuing up on food lines in the rust belt? Is he bollox.

Absolutely. He's a cretin, like 95% of the rest of the people involved in politics, which is why he will fit in well.

Okay, I don't know what "verification" you were looking for, but that's neither here nor there. I'm comfortable going with the opinion that anyone that believes racism is okay if it's passionate is a prick.

    Some questions:

    1. What is 'the end of social engineering'?

    2. How can you constitutionally end political correctness? Wouldn't that be like ending politeness, or slang? I suppose you can term certain phrases hate-crimes. Is that what you'd do?

    3. How secure will the borders be? And how to enforce it?

    4. What law and what order?

    5. Indigenous has a few grey areas. How do you define it?

    6. Given our media is already largely right-wing, do you mean that fair and balanced means greater left-wing presence? Don't answer this one.

    7. How do you 'teach conservatism'? And how are schools currently 'teaching socialism'?

    Someone gonna take this btw?

    No, turn it in.
But if the ideal society isn't explained then I'll have to assume the worst, and we all know what that means

Brendan O Neill used to edit Living Marxism which was the mag of the Revolutionary Communist Party before it morphed into professional contrarians of Spiked. RCP were Trotskyists. They were strange even by the standards of the far left - I remember arguing with them on the Poll tax demo and they weren't even really against it.
Marxism Today was linked to a faction of the old Communist Party and most of its key figures ended up Blairites. I think Mandelson was one of them. If there's two groups who passionately hate each other on the left it's Trots and Stalinists. More than the differences they might have with the right...

I don't like the cult-like approach of Spiked (and it's sports correspondent is Palace) but that piece isn't bad. They do regularly say things just to wind people up, though. (Unusual I know).

There are pictures on there. And this isn't Brexit, this is America. Where the KKK endorsed the campaign, and celebrated the victory of, the current President.

@Southbank You're right, they're probably not all minorities. Some of them may just have friends or partners or family who are minorities, and they're scared for their friends. Some of them might be white and gay, and they're scared for themselves. Some of them, like me, might be fair skinned and blue eyed and Jewish, and notice that there are an awful lot of Swastikas going around...
