I have to agree that the Pinocchio protest isn't the best idea. Not quite sure how that helps us at all as it seems a little childish.
Wasn't that the point?
A bit of harmless family, something different, something that will generate some good publicity and leave the club wondering what will be next.
Can't do the same thing every week.
The Director Termination form blown up to A0 was a good idea too.
Those calling for macho storming of the stadium and smashing the place up @CAFCsayeret al please stop talking and start acting if that is what you believe. I don't agree but if that is what you think will work then have the courage of your convictions. I think it would be wrong and counterproductive but if that is what you believe then act, don't just post on here and facebook.
If the Liverpool ticket fiasco proved anything it's that media attention is ultimately what is going to swing things in our favour. To keep the media interested you have to change it up. The Pinocchio thing is a great idea as it's something else for the papers to write about and keeps us on the public footballing agenda. If it's just a bunch of blokes hovering outside the stadium every week the media will get bored, and then they'll stop reporting. Of course, charging in and smashing up the place would get some attention too, but a) it's a bad idea - don't smash up your own club and b) all the hard men seem to go missing when the idea of it actually happening pops up. This protest showed a bit of wit and it's not causing any harm to the people who don't like it. You can still have your hard man storm the pitch storm the gates storm Roland's conservatory daydreams whether these protests happen or not.
I must admit to being a little confused by the idea at first but then seeing it first hand made me realise that we do need a range of approaches and tactics. It involved the kids and was received as it was meant - as a humorous and fairly inoffensive act.
The protest after was slightly disappointing in terms of numbers I felt but there did seem to be a decent number of media there?
It is a long, long journey and w need to keep momentum going by shifting the focus and ideas.
The Pinocchio idea was like Fresher's week at Uni. I didn't agree with it at all. Childish and embarrassing. The turnout for the protest was well down as well. I will carry on protesting but i do not need to be led. I have my own mind and will decide what i will do in future.
Can't believe those saying its childish or abusive to Meire herself. Pinocchio was a puppet, she is Roland's puppet, he had a big nose because he kept lying, she is always lying. Can't see any issue with this at all. Of course half of those complaining are the usual suspects who won't get off their own arse to protest or don't come up with any ideas of their own. Don't worry we'll do it without you anyway.
Could I just ask that at the next protest someone shouts out "FOR ALL THE OLD GITS HERE, START TAKING YOUR SHOE OFF, IT'S THE NEXT SONG COMING UP!" Because by the time I got my effing shoe off, the protest was over.... :-)
It might have come across as childish and embarrassing but it was also rewarding to be able to hand the masks out to Younger supporters who embraced the idea which was nice to see.

Better yet, get CARD to announce "Operation Slip-Ons" on the Wednesday (we'll all now what it means, and obviously, no-one would tell, so the regime will be utterly bewildered).
In an ideal world all 3000 invited children would have been wearing those masks, which were actually designed to take the piSs out the the person who invited them. That's my take on it, I maybe wrong?
I am all for the protests as I was there today showing solidarity with the other protesters. But I am against the gimmicks. To me it devalues the protest.

Results on the pitch is what will help us survive
Not silly Pinocchio face masks
It's quite simple. We are dogshit and heading nowhere but league 1. The long term damage off the pitch could be far worse still.

Thought the songs were better and more varied as well as funnier on the whole this week.
Well done those who didn't take themselves as seriously as few on here and dressed up.

I'm getting into this lark - I'm turning into an anarchist.
