Guptill getting a big score after I take him out of my Fantasy team, of course
  • Very glad NZ aren't in our group - their middle order is near on perfect. Can seriously strangle a team however well they start.

Great tournament so far, Afghanistan v England next up; can imagine Afghans sticking us in to bat first if they win the toss and us to bowl first if we win it.

New Zealand the complete package. Decent batsmen (their lowish scores so far don't tell the full story) great captaining, bowling tighter than an unpleasant analogy, decent fielding. Surely the team to beat

Just watching Afghanistan v SA ...Afghans have a young kid 17 years old Rashid Khan - leggie - very, very good - looks to be a star of the future.

    What do i know ?
Went for 29 in his last over !!
I must admit I thought of your comment when I heard about that over on the radio.

England win the toss and bat.

I'm sure that was an extremely insightful interview that Nasser had with the captain from Afgahnistan but I must admit I did struggle to understand it.

Not sure why we decided to bat first, as thought that chasing what might have been a small total would have been the way to get our NRR up to speed.

Very strange, thought the same. What do we know!

Root is incredibly adaptable, btw. Lovely to watch.

I guess we need practice and setting and defending a score.

A good chance for the batsmen to bat through as well

What the hell was Morgan playing at - clearly nothing.

Hopefully Morgan will go after this tournament. Giving the captaincy to Root for T20 and ODIs will be a good stepping stone for eventually taking over in all formats.

England are batting without brains. 57-6 against Afghanistan is embarrassing. All of the top six have got themselves out in every way possible.

After all the suffering the Afghan people have endured, this is England's way of cheering up a nation

Exactly this. This is not a 200 plus track. 150 is a winning score but too many of them have taken the positive attitude too far (apart from Morgan who was anything but positive) on a track that is slow and low.

Morgan's time should now be up should be dropped.

With the exception of Vince and Root what a pathetic batting performance. Morgan has totally lost it, his head is all over the place. Not playing a straight one just about sums it up. We will be lucky to reach a hundred.

Forgot we were playing today. Just tunes in, what a disaster. What was Morgan doing? He has to be dropped

Thank the Lord we haven't got to rely on Topley today. Well his batting anyway.
