    Didn't Parker beat Hughie?
  • Yep he did controversially
  • Yep he did controversially

    Controversially?? How so?
  • Last payday it looks like for Tyson Fury.

Probably knows the lay off has done him no good so had a few fights against nobody to earn him a fair bit of money against wilder.

This helps wilder become a name in the UK for beating fury and makes the wilder/Joshua battle a lot bigger next year.

Neither fighter done enough to win it out right

However it could be said that Hughie won the fight not my opinion I felt it was a terrible fight but that Parker just edged it but i wouldn’t have disputed a draw

Could well be right but I am not convinced I know for fact that Tyson wants AJ is ya nearly been made for summer at Wembley already

I don’t Think he is ready for wilder yet myself and nov aint that far away

Maybe Tyson wants one of them while they're still undefeated.

Once Joshua beats wilder he loses all of his star power and Tyson fighting him after won't seem as big.

Try reddit as well or hesgoals at a push
  • Can’t see him giving Wilder too many problems and think Joshua would smash him to bits.
  • Fury hardly sets the world alight does he. May have been special in his prime but he's done fuck all to earn he fight with Wilder (should it happen), both these comeback fights have been utter dross against pisspoor opponents
  • Wilder fight is way too soon for Fury.

He was away for so long, comes back and fights a 5 foot cruiserweight then goes 10 rounds with Pianeta and couldn’t knock him out.
  • Decent performance by Frampton there, all about levels. Hopefully the Warrington fight will be made now.
  • GGG v Canelo
    Fury v Wilder
    Warrington v Frampton
    Joshua v Povetkin

    All confirmed
    All PPV

Throw in Usyk v Bellew almost done deal too

Being a boxing fan about to get real expensive in 2018

100% I said a while back if it happens fury don't have it anymore and it's a cash out fight. I hope I am wrong.
  • All main events worthy of pay per view. Shame Khan v Brook doesn't look like happening

Also Wilder isn't stupid, the guy isn't going to risk his huge payday with Joshua. He knows fighting Fury is a win-win. Firstly he'll get big money and secondly he can fight a big name at a good time for him.

Given that Wilder has a reputation for cherry picking opponents and has fought (i think) only 1 top 10 ranked opponent, i think that if he thought there was a risk he wouldn't go anywhere near Fury.
  • I amazed by the above comments. I think fury wins hands down vs wilder and willing to have a friendly fiver with as many lifers that think otherwise.

Forgot Smith Groves on PPV too

I make that 3 PPV shows on 3 consecutive weekends in September.
  • Wilder knows he has to fight Fury/Joshua at some point.

If you’re Wilder you want Fury as soon as possible! The less warm up fights and less time to discover the old Fury the better. Simple

Fury on the other hand, the fight will always be there for him. I don’t know why he wants it right now. He said himself he wanted 4/5 fights before the main two guys. What’s changed? Does he think, fuck it I can beat them now no point waiting a year. Or is he thinking, fuck this just cash out now and be done with it.

I really want Fury to rule the heavyweight world but can’t help thinking this it too early for him.
  • Frampton fight was quality and the gap in class was as visbly obvious as they would be by ranking... but was a proper decent fight.

Fury was fighting a fella that looked to be blowing out of his arse after 2 mins and seemed to be wearing concrete boots. You expect tyson to not take many digs due to his size, but he hardly landed many big shots himself.

As already mentioned.. unless hes holding back I cant see Tyson winning in vegas.

Unless Fury has been holding a lot back in his two comeback fights then what makes you think that? In my opinion he doesn't look anywhere near ready and needs a couple more fights against better opponents.

Why do you think Wilder is so keen to fight Fury but has been dodging Whyte for ages?

Wilder should be fighting Whyte next and Fury should be having 2 more warm up fights.
Agree. Problem for Fury is that the two more warm up fights he needs would have to be against stronger opposition each time and I think they're worried he might lose one of them and miss his golden goose opportunity. Fighting Wilder now sells a lot more tickets.
Can't for the life of me see a Fury win on last nights performance. Losing 10 stone in just over a year seems to have taken its toll on his body and there didn't seem to be a lot of power there. Add to that the amount of bilge he stuck up his bugle since klitschko. It's not the best preparation

I've never been a fan of his style. He has none but he has got the job done before. Too late for him now.
  • Hard to tell but I reckon the wilder fight will be farcical. Fury can dance round everyone, and wilder won't want to get caught. I imagine there will be 12 rounds of fa followed by a homer judges card for Wilder. Fury can bounce back better than wilder... At least he's still a draw, especially if he took on Joshua which is still unfinished business
  • The thing with Fury is that he is an exceptionally clever defensive and reactive fighter, whom specialises in making his opponents look bad.

Whatever your strengths are, then he will negate them, and if you try a different approach, then he will make sure that he negates that as well – he drove Klitchko insane, and that is a guy that has been champion for a decade.

He is never going to look impressive in fights like last night (where he is the clear favourite), as he has never been, and never will be an explosive, dynamic all action fighter.

I think he is at least one fight short of being ready for Wilder, but the fact remains that the only reason he is being offered the fight, is because Wilders team don’t want him to get any fitter – they want him now!

Having said that it is not an opportunity that he can turn down, so he must take the fight, and I would (and am) going to bet a significant amount that he will beat Wilder by a large margin on points.

My view is that Wilder will find Fury too complex a puzzle to break down, and will get increasingly desperate as the fight goes on, and he will find himself being picked off from distance and when he tries to get the big bombs off will find himself short of range himself, and then dragged into a bear hug until the ref seperates them.
  • That would be how Fury wants it to happen, and unless wilder lands a bomb it's certainly possible. Just depends on Fury and how he trains and who is in his corner. You are right though, he's smart. When he talks about the sweet science, you know he gets it
