After this week's events, I wonder if any season ticket holders will demand a refund?
I cannot fathom how any one would want to help support a Regime that is doing everything to destroy the Club. It dont make no sense. Forget Loyalty for a season and lets get these cnuts OutOfOurClub
You assume that not renewing will at all contribute to getting them "OutOfOurClub" - I think it won't and will quite possibly do the opposite.
If the stadium was completely empty for a season they would depart back to where they came from pretty sharpish. Look how sad Sad ol' Roland looks in the photo above with an empty Valley and no revenue at all. Even that Heartless Bastard would give up in my opinion.
a) that premise is completely unrealistic b) even if it weren't, them departing requires someone making an offer that RD would accept, you give him far too much credit in assuming he's sensible enough to cut his losses and chalk this one up to experience. He isn't, he's arrogant, stubborn sand proud. He has the resources to continue funding his folly for years and every pound we lose, every pound he has to fund is a pound he'll add on to his asking price making it harder and harder for us to find a willing buyer.
Continue this logic for another ten years welling and cray Wanderers will be our local rivals. Roland will be demanding 100 million for the club

The boycott is playing into Duchaets and the CEO plan. From day one they made it clear they did not like the demographics of the regular Charlton supporter at that time. They saw us as a bunch of old fogies. Roland can take the hit of an increased loss of 1 million pounds from a drop in season ticket sales to achieve his desire to recruit a different demographic of supporter over next few years. He will see this as being easier without the presence of the old fans, he is probably looking for a younger more cosmopolitan more middle-class supporter than of old, a bit like a glorified Dulwich hamlet type.
"Younger" "Cosmopolitan" "Middle Class" Lol
I think you need to have a good walk around the Valley preferably on a non match day, this group of "new" supporters you speak off do not exist within 5 miles of SE7
What exactly is 'cosmopolitan?' From the posts I've read I don't think I am but I need to check to see if Mr Tatters is.

Isn't that a type of Italian ice cream with 3 flavours in it ?
1 Supporting CARD in trying to oust Duchatelet & Meire. 2 Unpleasant toxic atmosphere - will probably be just as bad this year. 3 Losing a lot is horrible but I am used to that. 4 Ever changing team so I don't feel much affinity for the players. (Thank god for Solly!) 5 Agro in trying to travel across London - London Bridge what a drag. Have they fixed the station yet?
I will have to go to a couple of games and use my red card number so that I can buy a 'home' seat for my Millwall and Southend mates. I will probably get narked at having to pay a £3 surcharge on a pay on the day ticket. Most games will probably find me listening in misery at home. I don't even know if I want us to win anymore. I am sort of beyond despair.

Don't think so
It's not logical, that's entirely the point.
Surely a point will arrive where RD has to join the rest of us in the real world though?

I seriously wouldn't hold your breath. We're fairly well informed that he was looking for £30m+ for a club that was clearly headed for L1 and had fans whose fans had escalated things to a militancy seldom seen on these shores. If he lived in the real world he would have sold us months ago, instead he hardly gave interested parties the time of day. There won't be many interested parties soon.
I don't think he ever wanted to sell the club at the end of last season, that it what prompted the 30m price tag.
This, imo, is down to his belief in KM and her SMT, he believes it will be a stroll to get out of league one, just like he believed the Championship would be a stroll.
I live in hope that this season will be the final straw for him and he will realise he is chucking good money after bad on an idea that will never work.
Sadly it might be too late by then, as I think it could be a stroll getting out of League One.... just in the wrong direction!!!
He will *never* break even owning CAFC, so he can either lose money for ever, or sell the club at a loss. Surely even a deranged twat like him has to see sense at some point.
Season ticket arrived Saturday , looking forward to the start of the season.
I, too, am looking forward to the start of the season, but purely because it's a day closer to when Roland, or his heirs, sells. I accept it may not be in my lifetime, but at some point in the future, I or one of my descendants will be able to go back to The Valley for a home game.
I've not renewed, not really because of the boycott (which I agree with) but I've given up hope on the first team, I will go to home and away games, just can't get excited about going to every home games and not be entertained
I don't even know if I want us to win anymore. I am sort of beyond despair.
This is probably the main reason holding me back-I hate the regime so much that even the occasional victories I witnessed last season didn't bring about the expected levels of happiness. At the back of mind there is always the thought that we need to suffer more failure on the pitch as any modicum of success papers over the cracks and makes people forget what they are doing to our club.
Even if we were to win the league next season (don't laugh) I don't think I could allow myself to immerse fully in the celebrations and joy that should go with it. If I feel like that then what is the point of getting a season ticket?
I have been watching us play for 35 years and my father has been watching for 65 years and at no point have I ever not wanted us to win.
Many people get involved with football for different reasons but, even though this is a social event that a father and son can share that ignores age and generations, neither if us ever go hoping for anything less that success on the pitch. Sure there are times where we would take a draw before the game starts, or maybe even a gently defeat (think Arsenal in 2003/04) but we have never stopped wanting success - irrespective as to how you measure it.
I am less enthusiastic about the club now than I can remember being during the 35 years I've been going but I refuse to allow these Belgians ruin this for me and/or take my club away from me.
I was going long before they got here and I will be going long after they leave. If we (my father and I) stopped going we might do something together on the weekends for a while but in the end something else would come along that one of us had to do and before you know it we would only see each other a few times a year.
To those of you that are not going to go anymore I fully respect your decision. For those that are going to go to 23 away games instead, I applaud you, but it is a family tradition that is now 35 years old - when Charlton are at home we go and I'm not going to be chased out of my club by a mentally unstable Dictator and his incompetent CEO.
Funnily enough I have renewed but as I have swapped from East to North Lower I was still called and asked why I hadn't renewed. Now I have made it quite clear in the past that I am not fully anti regime (neither am i pro regime either, I am very much meh to them) when I pointed out they should perhaps cross reference names and stop accosting people, I did get an (albeit rather sullen and mumbled) apology. So perhaps they them realised the whole idea was a waste of time and stopped?
Anyway, girlfriend's season ticket showed up on Saturday, mine is yet to appear, but the wallet case is presented in is incredibly cheap and poorly manufactured, the writing is off centre and the plastic is thin and flimsy
Clever fellow Roland, Tom and I would probably have renewed but the current situation with a good manager complaining through the media about the state of our squad means ' no chance '. Retaining a useless CEO and talk of closing parts of the Stadium when they think means small unhappy attendances, and inevitable renewed protests. Saddest time ever during my 60 plus years as an Addick.

Covered End (that's lower north) STs arrived ? - check. Bury match and train tickets sorted ? - check. Sun shining ? - check. New season delutional optimism recharged ? - check
Whoa, whoa, whoa - I'm not sure if the lower north stand constitutes the Covered End. We're going to need a ruling on this.
No need for a ruling, the Covered End is solely the part of the ground referred to by the uninitiated as the lower north, always has been, always will be, unless they ever completely demolish that end and that section becomes indistinguishable from the attachment above it.
No, I think the upper north is the true covered end.
I would really appreciate clarification on this, as i have asked a few times on threads but i only had one or two replies. I am renewing (i understand the reasons of those who arent, but i am renewing to support the team on the pitch, we each have our reasons). However, i renewed in the north upper for the first time. Have i made an error, should i have bought north lower to be amongst the standing and vocal section of support? I dont want to be sitting amongst people who dont sing like i was in my old block in the east.

If you are sitting in the North upper you will not be amongst people full stop, you will be on your own.
Drive the crowds down to non existent then apply for planning saying that running a football club in Charlton is no longer financially viable and Bob's your Uncle Roland and he multiplies his many millions tenfold by building umpteen mega flats on the upcoming, up market Charlton next to a main line railway station with easy access to London.

Tosh! the local council know what is going on at Charlton and they know the size of the fan base, it will never be allowed to happen.
We need to stop targeting Katrien SHE IS GOING NOWHERE - and we need to put the pressure on Roland in his own back yard!
Until the fanbase get a grip of that idea we wont get this prick out of our club.

Tosh! They have to be attacked in lots of different ways, that includes embarrassing him in Belgium but there is no one thing that will do it. Some protests aren't to everyone's tastes and are ridiculed but they are all chipping away at them big or small. You've been to Belgium twice and fair play to you but he's still here right?

Very good, I think I'll relocate and live over there, and stick a tent outside his gaff.
There is only so much that can be done abroad, we can hardly have 'representatives of Charlton' in Belgium on a regular basis.

Yes but look at the impact, Katrien went fucking mental when @The_President showed up at her fathers door, and Roland released the statement after we leafleted his apartments.
This season we are going to seek approval from the mayor of katriens town and also the mayor of sint truiden to distribute leaflets to every house. if they say we cant then we will argue that freedom of information is not being allowed to be shared.
We want people to know back in there community's how upset these two people have made THOUSANDS! of football fans back in the UK!.
As i have said repeatedly - they have disrupted out households and our livelihoods (sad as some may think that is) Why is it considered over the line to do the same to them?
They have no place in football or as part of a community of thousands of people, and hopeful local pressure will help.
We also aim to target his businesses and also start a group for Sint truiden like CARD.
Lots to be done and so far we have 20 people willing to help.
You dont have to spend hundreds of pounds and go to Belgium to help.
No problem with that but as I said it will take all sorts of protests to have a chance. You will not get thousands or even hundreds over there so protests that do involve thousands have to continue here.
