The change in type of season ticket holders I am talking about will not occur in one season, but I expect that they will begin some form of advertising campaign to build interest. The league position is not an insoluble problem, as new punters will hope to be in on the revival of club fortunes or sold as such. The spectre at the feast for Duchalet has been the demo`s but with the protesters declining in numbers due to ticket boycott that is a problem that is going away.
Cahones said he wanted the ticket office staff to ring all the non-renewers to find out why not. The staff told him the reasons were fairly obvious but Tony wouldn't have that.
So they employed an agency, at who knows what cost, to phone people and persuade them while at the same time recording any reason why people aren't renewing.
I guess this was so Tony could tell Roland that is wasn't his incompetence but all down to relegation. It's not as the comparison in the drop now and the last time we went down shows.
But of course Cahones and Nightmeire don't want to believe that. They live in a bubble where they are right and eveyone else is wrong, Wilder Slade and a few signings will wipe the slate clean.
Bet they are still going on about matchday experience and planning to replace BDL with goal music and either Smashy or Nicey.
I haven't had call, I'm not bothered personally but as others have said it isn't that they want a call as such but rather they would expect any well run, customer focused business to call, write, email etc even if the response was "no thanks".

I'm sorry but I'm still baffled about how this vast influx of new wealthy supporters will come about. By definition, they will have enough money to make choices and therefore why on earth would they choose to watch a third rate team playing in a atmospheric vacuum. I don't think I have ever met anyone who has chosen to follow a poor team, to which they have had no allegiance to in the past, on the vague grounds that they might be there on the ground floor if the team has a revival. The most obvious way to attract new supporters is to be successful on the pitch in the first place, but that approach seems to beyond Roland's intellectual capabilities and the ever-fragrant Ms Meire has already indicated that our best players are to be sold to bigger better clubs. If your theory held any water Epsom and Ewell would be playing in front of fifty thousand every week.

Ha, ha ha, ha, so you don't reckon the protestors will rock up behind the West Stand after matches (when organised)?

After this week's events, I wonder if any season ticket holders will demand a refund?
I cannot fathom how any one would want to help support a Regime that is doing everything to destroy the Club. It dont make no sense. Forget Loyalty for a season and lets get these cnuts OutOfOurClub

I know where you are coming from but it's a drug to some people and a way of life every other Saturday to others more often than not with friends and family. It's not about loyalty.

You assume that not renewing will at all contribute to getting them "OutOfOurClub" - I think it won't and will quite possibly do the opposite.
The boycott is playing into Duchaets and the CEO plan. From day one they made it clear they did not like the demographics of the regular Charlton supporter at that time. They saw us as a bunch of old fogies. Roland can take the hit of an increased loss of 1 million pounds from a drop in season ticket sales to achieve his desire to recruit a different demographic of supporter over next few years. He will see this as being easier without the presence of the old fans, he is probably looking for a younger more cosmopolitan more middle-class supporter than of old, a bit like a glorified Dulwich hamlet type.
But where are they going to find supporters like that? Charlton have never been a fashionable club so we aren't likely to attract many new fans in the third tier of football. The main reason we filled a 27k stadium every week is because there was Premier League football on offer. I knew many people who weren't even Charlton fans that had season tickets because it was a cheap way to watch the Prem stars week in week out. What have they got to offer potential supporters right now? Not much I'd say.

There is no right or wrong in all this.
Without contradicting myself, I'll be ground hopping non-league for the homes this season, perhaps I am cutting my nose to spite my face.
There is a principle as well for people, certainly for me.

This is a difficult argument to win from both sides.
For me the lower we drop down the table, the more money the Belgians will lose and I think more chance of them saying enough is enough.
Going up would only ensure they feel there 'plan', whatever it is, is working.

I think he will only sell up if we go up. It's only way he can get a decent price for the club. And for all those who say money is not important to him ,i say you don't get that rich without loving money

Honestly I don't think this bloke wants to write off any of his money, the more money we loose the more ridiculous the asking price will get.

Totaly agree
That worries me !
I'm afraid 3blokes could be counting a lot more days
The number of ST's sold is now 5 closer to the club's 5500 claim. My regular cohort has now renewed for an aggregate £400 less than previously by relocating to cheaper seats. After prolonged soul searching and most importantly with none of my money going to facilitate roly's toxic pantomime.
