why they had nothing to do with the two protests mentioned?
Sigh. It's nothing to do with that and who's done what. Stop trying to get attention.
It's to do with the fact that they have come to represent the Charlton fans protesting against Roland and so they will be a credible voice to issue a well worded statement, and in turn make it more likely to get picked up by the press. Surely, if you are protesting for the same reasons this wouldn't bother you?
If you want attention, feel free to issue a statement yourself. Let's see how far that goes.
Now, back to laughing at Katrien.
No statement is needed - the protest was a big enough Statement!
The next protest we do will be an even bigger Statement!
We dont care what Katrien Says!
Well please get off this thread then & stop trying to derail it, in order to big yourself up again.
She is running on empty. The football world knows she is a joke and it must be obvious to even the thickest twat that she should spend a tad less time slagging off decent supporters and trawling forums and get on with doing what she does best- which at the moment remains a mystery to many.
I think she is possibly, currently the worst CEO of any and every business today at least within western civilization.
Why is it so important to keep this job aside from obviously, having an income. The problem is that she's now unemployable unless Roland shifts her...but he maybe starting to think she's also useless...but can't sack her from this position because he wants to see a Charlton fan perform criminal activity in order to attempt to get her to resign.
She has clearly been wanting to get something 'out' probably since our last Belgium visit and it has been building up inside her, and today the kettle boiled over.
I think, as Queensland said earlier, RD and Murray should be ashamed of themselves for allowing her to get this far - very ashamed.
Duchatelet and Murray really need to look in the mirror.
She is an incompetent, arrogant cow with no respect whatsoever for OUR heritage but her fellow directors surely owe a duty of care to protect her from herself.
Because the other two are such a gutless pair of old cowards she has taken most of the flak and deserved most of it too but it's time they came out of the woodwork.
If everything has turned out terribly via the players and management...it would still be wise not to lose your dignity in the process...that is now something you cannot retrieve. She is an angry wound up old fool that can't and won't work under pressure.
Funny how in this speech she uses the words sh*t and sh**ty but also has a go at language the fans use when attending a football match. The fans are free to swear as much as they like because it is their free time and they are not at work. It depends whether or not your kids are with you, but that is still a choice.
However Meire thinks it's perfectly acceptable to swear in a professional environment where her comments will be published.

I love how she simply disregards the bad recruitment of players and management at the club like it's an everyday problem at every club. "It happens" - it's your job to make sure it doesn't happen, otherwise you go down with the ship.
Refusing to accept responsibility in every single way.
It's the "sorry" that never actually means she is sorry, but more like
"I've acknowledged that we didn't do well this season for 1 second so we can't ever talk about it again, as I've already acknowledged it, that it didn't go well and we made a few mistakes. It's now officially yesterday's news".

exactly "it happens" - yes, to extremely poorly run football clubs
“Just like when I started supporting football 15 years ago. Whenever there was a black player they would make noises. That has evolved, why can we not also educate fans towards respect of everybody in the game?
Comparing the reminders that she is getting for doing her CEO job consistently badly to the racism that black players had to suffer is just a bit of an insult to the pernicious and nasty racism that the black players suffered in the UK in the mid 1970s.
It is also an insult to Charlton supporters who overwhelmingly are against racism and part of the kick it out campaign. If she is talking 15 years ago is she talking about how things were in Belgium ? Or the rest of the continent ?
Drawing parallels between her situation and the situation of black players is both, idiotic, insulting, and ridiculous at the same time. Meire completely misunderstands Charlton's history against racism.

She is spectacularly useless and her communication skills are the icing on the cake. Alienating nearly the entire fanbase of the club where you are CEO and not understanding why is quite impressive. What is going on inside RD's head and why he leaves her in charge is beyond me. Hard to believe such a scenario could exist....

HUH.
I've no sympathy for her.
Surely all of her prestigious industry awards and accreditations would secure her a role somewhere more aligned to her skill set.
She isn't an idiot. She should just admit defeat and leave.
My wife has actually just asked me what I am laughing out loud at!
