And he's never been called Adkin or Angins before either.
  • Like the sound of Andy Hughes though doubt Meire would.

Yes the flip side is he knows what this regime is like first hand. So no doubt wouldn't give them the time of day.

Why leave a cushy job in the premier league for a basket case in league one? Well actually he does work for a w***er and at palace so he might consider it.
Don't think it is a paid job so he might still be open to a proper job offer (which rules out CAFC under Meire)
Eh? He is not getting paid to be first team coach at Palace?
    That's what I was told.
He would be better off working in a job Wheres he's not paid than being paid working for us.
  • Since the last candidate managed Halifax Town for 6 years - this guy must be in the running as well!

  • Would love Di Canio. RM or KM would stand absolutely no chance telling him who/what to play.

I'd have him for this reason alone.
  • It would be a circus
  • British Aspargus that was secretly imported via Belguim.
  • It would be is a circus

Good for the punch up in the dressing room.

In all seriousness, a very accomplished coach by all accounts.

Good god. I remember the Documentry with him. The bloke was an embarrassment. Somebody should have just ironed him out.
  • Just spoke to Gareth Ainsworth - he had heard nothing

    what website is he on?

Seriously, let him crack one off in peace.
  • He is a friend of mine
  • Someone ought to draw up a Venn Diagram of football managers, with two sets:

    1. Managers who are competent
    2. Managers who would work for a regime where the owners choose the players

Then see who (if anyone) is in the intersection. I can't think of anyone.

He would take no nonsense from Meire and the Rant. and ask them to "bring your dinners"
  • How come, in the past, KM has had 20 applicants (her words), for head coach and still managed to appoint one in 24 hours, yet this time it is taking weeks. Surely she was not lying before when she said she held interviews before appointing someone from the regime?
  • Wee Jobby McDuff currently managing Aachlander Academicals in the Auch Throbby sponsered division three.

    He's not Belgian i suppose...
  • Apparently Wilder would have had the title of manager and not head coach.

Yet he turned down the job because he wouldn't get full managerial duties. Non story/pointless piece of info. The regime trying to sell people to the job but when push comes to shove they won't do it.
  • He may well have been given the title of manager, but it's clear that he was never going to have the authority of one.

Ketts suggested Wilder stalled our contract offer to allow time for Sheff U to come in.

***Hopefully*** that points to a shift in approach...

Apparently not - turned it down because we were a decoy used to get Sheff Utd to remove their finger from their anus!
