Junior Nkeng definitely catching the eye. Hit the crossbar in the first half (might also have been a cross rather than shot). Wicked low cross in the second period which a Sheffield United player managed to lift over for a corner.

Brown always impresses as well.1

Reid has really good close control, can diddle players, but his ball retention allows defenders to get goal side, if he released the ball a little earlier, or drew opponents towards him to create spaces for others, and moves the ball on quickly to those teammates it would improve his game. In mens football he would not be allowed the time on the ball he currently wants.
Still able to learn and refine his game in order to be more incisive consistently I reckon.3 -
Otto did not look out of place particularly, but was not eye catching either.
Unlike Mwamba, very eye catching throughout the game.
Good to see Edwards play a half.5 -
Enjoyable enough game today if not a bit scrappy at times. I don’t think you can get too over excited or too down in the dumps with players in these games. We yet again seem to have some real prospects despite all the pilfering from above that’s going on.I really like Reuben Reid and the goal was nice but think he still has a way to go before breaking through. As you would expect he’s obviously being coached to look at all the responsibilities he has, not just offensively.Otto was disappointing in midfield imo and just seemed like the game largely passed him by. Josh Laq I thought showed why he has future Charlton captain look about him. From the ‘bigger names’ playing it was nice to see Josh get another 45 although I hope a few of us who thought he might have had a niggle from his half time warm down are wrong. Knibbs, bar the goal left me with little to say. I’m massively disappointed in his time with us and wonder if something has gone on behind the scenes. I think he looked like he was going through the motions and didn’t show the kind of ‘want’ that Edwards showed.Mwamba I thought did well and got up and down the field well with some nice play. NKeng I think will have done his chances of getting off the bench no harm but I think he’s still very much in the prospect bracket, albeit a decent looking one. It was funny that he scored after swapping wings with RR.Sheffield fans by me were most impressed by Burnham and the problems he caused their defence. He battled very hard all afternoon. The Sheffield fans were very complimentary about our whole academy set up and loved that we played so many games at the Valley. They were less complimentary about many of their own and said it’s been more collecting lads released from bigger academies and then hoping they can find/polish a gem.I continue to be impressed by Ethan Brown and think that like Josh Laq he has a certain air about him. I have very high hopes for both of them. Not much else to say other than there were a few faces like Paul Elliott, Jon Fortune and Kayne Ramsay floating around and it was larger gathering than usual with plenty of football people there. Was also great to pull some very good players off the bench today, due to senior lads dropping in.P.S. the refereeing team missed a few blatant fouls and a ton of sneaky fouls that they seemed to persistently deploy without punishment. Refs have it in for us although NJ sat on the halfway line probably didn’t help, albeit he said sod all!14
